Brewster Kellogg, DO

As a hospitalist, Dr. Kellogg is devoted to caring for patients who are admitted to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital and other Samaritan hospitals. He works with these patients' regular clinicians and other specialists to provide skilled and compassionate care during their hospitalization. Dr. Kellogg came to his career in medicine later in life. He first taught college-level English courses then worked at a family practice clinic. He was inspired by the clinicians there, but thought it was too late for him to attend medical school. So, he decided to become a physician assistant. When he didn't get accepted into that program, he applied for and was accepted into medical school instead. Dr. Kellogg chose Samaritan because of its facilities, people and culture. He is married and has three adult children. Away from the office, he enjoys reading, tinkering with computers and gaming, home renovation and walking on the beach.
