Dr. Brian Lewis Ackerman, MD

Was referred to him by my therapist for medical marijuana and SSRI consult and Rx. He had agreed to serve as Rx referral for my therapist. He then tried to take my therapists role and made it clear he thought therapy should sub for meds and I shouldn’t need meds or cannabis. THEN he asked about my then ongoing divorce and how I’d found out my ex was cheating on me. When I said my ex had told me, Ackerman then asked when this was. I told him the date and time. He laughed, and said, “you know what time he told you he was cheating?” Um, yeah, I do, it was kind d if significant. He remained amused. It was over at that point as far as I was concerned. He wasn’t covered by my insurance, so I got to pay some $200+ out of pocket for a) being laughed at; and b) his laying about his willingness to be a Med consult since his basic idea is no meds and no cannabis.

After years of being treated for OCD Dr Ackerman adjusted my meds and helped me learn coping methods and my life has changed.
