I would give ZERO stars if I could. DISCONTINUED MEDS and told me “you won’t die.” As a healthcare provider myself I am capable of spotting a dangerous provider when I see one and this man is it. Aside from being dangerously cavalier with my medication, he was also hurtfully condescending when I tried to explain my concerns re: cold turkey quitting. On the telehealth visit when I inquired about the five additional people in the “room” he dismissed me and instead asked if I was hearing voices or seeing things. An appropriate question at a very inappropriate time. I fear for any patient without support at home that has the misfortune of encountering this horrible provider. Please beware and just move right past this man. He is uncaring, unfeeling, and not above patient blaming.

He always has my son’s safety and well being as the primary goal. He’s patient with him and he always talks to me and to him. I really like him and I’m a picky mom and I’m in healthcare. I’m not easily impressed. I see some reviews about payment being his top concern. Guys he has to pay not only his bills but for medical records malpractice insurance employees etc.

Really nothing to say other than he is the least personable, most incompetent doctor I’ve ever seen. Not even sure I was seen, but he sure did smack me with a $265 charge after a 10 min tele-visit he moved forward scheduling after reading the email below and offering to prescribe Me 20 mg of my current medication. I was initially very pleased with his professionalism and what appeared to be interest in my case. Having done a physical, blood work, and several appointments something shifted behind the scenes. I started receiving requests to only use website or phone to book, the portal was now obsolete. Stranger, because the site kept taking me to the portal. FInally, I discovered that 2 of my payments had not gone through due to a changed card, they REFUSED my scripts until 3 appointments were paid, and insisted I pay 80 for any medical record, furthermore, the initial medical group I had connected with this dr through had never heard of this "Larry" the henchman that chases people with mental health issues down to berate them for their confusion and deny meds. Now, if this werent enough, I flipped on them and found a different doctor, my new doctor was hard to work with so trying to go back to Barczak, but THEY KEEP CANCELLING APPOINTMENTS, and won't answer calls or emails Very Unprofessional!!!… I even told his henchman that being off the medications had been making me suicidial, I had been abruptly taken off of 3 medications and refused ongoing care and am continuing to experience negligence, they won't even personally explain the doctor refuses to see me, they will just cancel appointments?! This man should be investigated, he will be when he is named in a patient's suicide letter!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! YOU WILL GET SEIZURES FROM MED WITHDRAWL! Dr. Brian Barczak deserves to lose his medical license. I was taken off of ALL my medications so that I could be put on a new one. The medical director (Dr. Barczak) found out and decided that he didn't agree with the treatment plan, although the practitioner that I see who actually KNOWS ME believes that this new medication would help me. I paid out of pocket for it and it helped immensely. He still said that I can not get the prescription for the medication, so I am going UNTREATED. The medical director, Dr. Brian Barczak should lose his medical license for taking me off all my meds without replacing them!!!! AVOID UNLESS YOU WANT SEIZURES FROM MED WITHDRAWAL!

BEWARE!! Dr Barczak was not bad but his business is. Was approved as a provider on our plan but his website charges a different code and charged us not our insurance. Website did not state it was self pay, only stated the price. Look elsewhere because this is a bad business.

Dr. Barczak has been the only psychiatrist to get my medicine right. He knew exactly what would help me. He listened to me when I said why I didn’t want to take certain medicines. He spent a good amount of time with me. I will continue to see him.

I am a school counselor and have transferred back to Athens from Savannah. This is the worst psyche ever. He rushes through the session, asks the same question, over talks, and seems ready to just collect payment. I should not have to see him each month for prescriptions. In Savannah , I saw my psyche one every other month and still had refills without running out. I have emailed him today and my last session will be this Thursday . The black lady who does billing and scheduling is also unprofessional. She fast talks you and is ready to hang up as soon as she answers . I also don’t understand how this psyche can be available only in Thursday’s and only has 11 years of experience. I’m done

This is the worst psychiatrist I have ever wasted any time with. He is smug, contrite , unprofessional and inappropriate. He cares about collecting payment, but is not interested in providing any type of compassionate care. My appointment was a nightmare during which he was late, rude, and bizarrely concerned with cleaning supplies being under lock and key. I highly recommend seeing anyone elae!!!

A great listener but when it's time for action, he's worthless
