Dr. Brian Houston Black, DO

i went to this pseudo-physician thinking i had hemorrhoids. turns out, according to him, i had a wart. he told me i should have it removed and then pressed me to have a pap smear. i declined. he seemed irritated and kept pressing when i noticed that he was pulling a speculum out of the sink. out of the sink. had he just washed and sanitized it? i dont know!! - -- --- -- - fast forward, i am leaving and paying for my 'visit'. the personnel are sitting behind the glass, none looking me in the eye, all repeating the word, 'wart' 'wart' 'wart'. nightmare. worst day of my life. never felt so helpless or less helped.

We went to see Dr. Black for a laceration and he had us in and out of there in no time and laughing our way home. Can not believe a small hospital has such a great doctor!

My mother presented to the er with leg and pelvic pain. She also complained of leg swelling. He ordered a urine specimen and that was it! Not once did he look at or touch her legs. No labs ordered. Discharged her with antibiotics. Never addressed the horrible pain she was experiencing. My mom followed up with her family dr. My mom had an extra 18lbs of fluid mainly in her legs!

Horrible bedside manner, makes you feel so belittled. Made me feel stupid. Acts very entitled and arrogantly towards others. If you are looking for a doctor that actually cares and wants to help you, then continue your search. Small man complex much?

Great care for my family. Takes time to listen and got us the specialist visit we needed that we did not get from our internal medical doctor.

My father can be very cranky, but Dr. Black was caring and got to the bottom of his problems with testing. He sat down to tell us about the testing results and even called his Surgeon to make sure he knows what is going on. THANK YOU!!!

Just another doctor ready to send you some pills and shove you out the door. Once I started asking more in depth questions he was surprised at how knowledgable I was in the medical field and began to feel intimidated and refuse my requests including results of basic blood work labs. He was so intimidated by me that he could not come back into the room and had his nurses do the remaining work, including tell me 'Have a nice day". I hope you will search for other providers who still have dignity rather than chasing a pay check. I really hope you do not land in Terre Haute Regional ER when he is attending. That's where he made a mistake.

Would see again. Happy with the experience of this doctor. Wonderful fund of knowlege and he is very caring.

This guy is fast and friendly. Just get him talking about racing and you are good to go. Staff is nice. No problems with their office. I came in to get a cold fixed and walked out with my diabetes checked too. They even have a lab in their office. Happy with my new doctor.
