I saw Dr. Boholst two weeks ago. My primary physician, Dr. Kennedy, was not immediately available, and Dr. Boholst was free, so I saw him. I was having strange neurological symptoms after a bug bite and I suspected Lyme disease. Dr. Boholst did not listen to me when I explained that I was bit by a bug and that I was having neurological symptoms. He completely brushed off the idea that my bug bite could have been a tick, even when I was very insistent the bite and my symptoms were related. Instead, he tested me for rheumatoid and other autoimmune disorders, but that did not explain all of my symptoms. When I explained that rheumatoid would not explain my most troublesome issues, he then told me, "I think those issues are psychosomatic." And wrote me a script for a muscle relaxer. Two weeks later I got a blood test that revealed that I am CDC positive for babesia. I am finally on the right track with medication, but I am two weeks behind the illness. I felt very disrespected… by Dr. Boholst and I want any of his future patients to know that he may not listen and to be persistent with what you need if you are working with him.

Dr. Boholst has excellent bedside manner and communicates well options for treatment. I would definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a primary physician.
