I saw this doctor one time...

My negative experience mirrors other reviews on Vitals and HealthGrades. My Pain Has gotten much worse since this charlatan treated me. He is a sadist who enjoys inflicting pain.I should have read the reviews but I trusted the doctor who made the referral. Stay away!

I first met Dr. Burrough one year ago today. I literally could not walk without the aid of a cane plus grasping for additional support from a wall, counter, parking meter, car, etc. I thought I needed a shot in my lower spine to alleviate pain and stiffness and (I thought) problems with my legs coming from my lower back. Dr. Burrough correctly diagnosed the problem as cervical – which stunned me since I had no pain in my neck at all. After an MRI showing that the spinal cord was close to being severed in my neck, he referred me to his partner, Dr. Saville, and I had a cervical laminectomy which literally saved me from being a paraplegic. I have continued to see Dr. Burrough and his partner Liz Moore for the past year, and I cannot say enough good thinks about them. Both are very straightforward in talking to me about my condition, explaining things in terms I can easily understand, and discussing what next steps ought to be. I trust them completely and would immediately refer… them to any family member or friend who was having a bac issue. I recommend them to anyone, without reservation. The office staff is very professional, courteous, and always very helpful.

I would not recommend going to this doctor. I had horrible injections as he went into the nerve instead of going around the nerve. When I complained to the doctor he blamed me the patient. When he did the injections they were so badly done that I almost flew off the table. I also noticed that the medicine bottle was dropped by his staff instead of throwing the bottle out where they should have used a new one. I’m a professional in the community and to see this doctor be so careless with his patients is unbelievable. It’s hard to believe he’s still practicing. There are much better doctors out there that are a lot more experienced. I now have a permanent nerve injury in my spine from this terrible doctor.

I HAVE HAD EPIDURALS BEFORE, BOTH FROM DR. BURROUGH AND FROM OTHERS OUT OF STATE. SOMETIMES I GET MORE RELIEF THAN OTHER TIMES BUT THIS LAST TREATMENT I RECEIVED ABOUT TEN DAYS AGO HAS PRODUCED THE BEST RESULTS YET. HE GAVE GREAT THOUGHT AS TO HOW TO IMPROVE THE RESULTS AND HE "HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD" THIS TIME. I AM COMPLETELY PAIN FREE SO FAR AND I AM VERY THANKFUL. SOMETIMES A LITTLE CHANGE IN THE AREA TREATED CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE AND HE ACCOMPLISHED THIS. THANK YOU DR. BURROUGH. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU GIVE HIM A CHANCE. SYLVIA R.

I HAVE FOUND DR. BRIAN BURROUGH TO BE A VERY CARING, SYMPATHETIC AND KNOWLEDGEABLE PHYSICIAN. I HAVE NEVER FELT RUSH AND HE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS AND HAS HELPED ME TREMENDOUSLY WITH MY PAIN. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.

Dr. Brain Burrough is the best doctor, he meets all my needs. Dr. Burrough did an excellent job on my lower back. He listens to what I have to say and very knowledgeable. I will recommend him to everyone.

Stay away from this doctor. I didn’t have pain down my legs before injections and in fact never had pain down my legs just had only Lower back pain. I was supposed to have injections in my back for back pain but instead I got injections that caused pain down both sides of legs and caused tingling down the legs that I never had before. This guy has no idea what he is doing. He is arrogant and doesn’t care if he hurts you. I only had pain on one side of my back but he did injections on both sides. He did whatever he wanted. I’m now left with chronic pain and nerve pain from him. If I could help anyone. Please stay away from this heartless unqualified person who should never be treating patients.

THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST DOCTOR I HAVE ENCOUNTERED IN MY LIFE. MR BRIAN BURROUGH WAS RUDE TO ME BEYOND WORDS COULD DESCRIBE. HE ACTED LIKE HE DID NOT CARE ABOUT MY TREATMENT. FOR EXAMPLE HE SENT MY PRESCRIPTIONS TO THE WRONG PHARMACY SEVERAL TIMES WHICH CAUSED HEALTH ISSUES NOT BEING ABLE TO TAKE THE MEDICATIONS THEY WERE INTENDED FOR. FIRST HE TOLD ME THAT ONLY HE SENDS THE PRESCRIPTIONS TO THE PHARMACY. THEN WHEN SEVERAL TIMES HE SENT TO THE WRONG PHARMACY HE BLAMED HIS STAFF. HE ACTED UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL TOWARDS ME. I CANNOT BELIEVE HE IS LICENSED TO PRACTICE IN FLORIDA. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO HIM UNLESS I WANTED TO INFLICT PAIN AND FOR THEM TO BE TREATED WRONGLY. PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE FL DEPT OF HEALTH. THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT GODS AS THEY THINK THEY ARE AND THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS.

Have gone several times to have injections in my lower back. Dr B and staff have always been helpful.
