Dr. Brian A. Chalkin, DO

I am a singer, a panist and music educator. I fell and it resulted in a severe fracture of my distal radius-- left. I told Dr. Chalkin that I HAD TO BE ABLE TO PLAY AGAIN. He told me he would do his best and that there could be lasting problems. But he was confident and I felt that I trusted him. What else could I do? I approached the whole ordeal with a one-day-at-a-time process. He was personable each time I saw him,as was his assistant Bryan. I felt they were on top of my situation- I was prescribed some simple exercise t first while in a cast for 6 wks(!). I began slowly using my hand while teaching voice lessons and after my physical therapy was completed (3 mo.) and w/my persistent and gradual exercise at the piano and practicing of scales, stretching, playing third and octaves -- my left hand and wrist grew stronger. And in fact, the hand and wrist is strongrr & better than it was before my accident ! Amazing. Just a little stiffness from time to time. This is no… small feat ! As for all the fine motor and eye/ hand coordination required for skillful playing -- I am not handicapped at all. It is a new challenge and daily joy to make music. This doctor is a blessing and as long as I play my JS Bach, L.Beethoven and jazz, I will think of this wonderful doctor and how he saved my life from tragedy. Xxooxx thank you Brian Chalkin !!

Dr. Chalkin did a radial head replacement on my son. We have been more than pleased with every aspect of care received from Dr. Chalkin. He has been excellent in explaining everything every step of the way. He is compassionate, attentive and accessible. The surgery he performed on my son has made a big difference in the use of his arm. We appreciate everything he has done!

We could not be more pleased with the care Dr. Chalkin, Mr. Graham and Mrs. Loudex have given to our son. We are immensely blessed to have been referred to their office. Did a good job. But took over month to get surgery done. but was well pleased with his work.

I RECEIVED NO INSTRUCTIONS, NO RETURN APPOINTMENT, NO REHAB. PROCEDURES BEFORE OR AFTER SURGERY I

Don't let Chalkin do a shoulder replacement on you!! He put in TOO LARGE of a ball joint (plus the most obsolete model he could find) and it destroyed the inside of my shoulder!! The ball he put in, not only came up THROUGH the front of the rotator cuff but it ate my Glenoid!! By the time I got another surgeon to fix me (after an extremely painful 4 1/2 years) there was barely enough left of the glenoid to attach the new part to!!

I love dr Chaklin bc he is great surgeron and Great guy in the office listens and understanding dr when it comes to Othro hand and shoulder and everything

dr was totally through with me after surgery, 2 months from surgery , still having severe, debilitating pain, unable to use hand. getting no help from dr.

After 3 unsuccessful elbow surgeries at Tulsa B&J clinic we decided to try Dr. Chalken. After one try and 4years later my elbow is still doing as well as can be expected, after all I am 53 years old and arthritis is creeping in. Bottom line is I wished I'd gone to him in the first place #Rockstar Doctor

I had to wait, about 2hours. It was worth the wait. He diagnosed my problem in 5 min. He explained my options, and possible out comes. After an injection, I walked out better than I came in.
