Brian Christopher Cook

I chose to become a physician because I wanted a career that combined science and technology with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Radiation oncology has been especially rewarding because it allows me to build relationships with patients and their families while using advanced technology to deliver personalized cancer treatment. My approach to patient care is centered on treating each patient as an individual. A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, and I believe patients deserve a physician who takes the time to listen, clearly explain their diagnosis and treatment options, and involve them in decisions about their care. My goal is to provide treatment that is not only effective, but also tailored to each patient's priorities, goals, and quality of life. I have experience treating many different types of cancer and value the breadth of radiation oncology. I enjoy caring for patients with a wide range of diagnoses and bringing my expertise to each …individual's unique situation. Working collaboratively with other members of the cancer care team, I strive to determine the most effective and personalized approach to treatment. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, staying active, listening to live music, and exploring new restaurants and destinations throughout North Carolina.
