Dr. Brian Lane Gallagher, MD

Very kind and thoughtful. The problem was corrected in far less than he predicted. Dr. Gallagher kept us informed and gave clear directives.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gallagher for 8 years and can't ask for a better doctor, and person. He has cared for me through normal health and 3 years of dealing with prostate cancer. His surgical skill is excellent and his concern for my health is unsurpassed. I encountered a serious side effect of one procedure and he was by my side quickly and stayed until I was completely out of the woods. As an older male, I have had 3 urologists prior to Dr. Gallaher, and he is just plain "THE BEST". Iowa Clinic has failed many patients by allowing so many of its urology team to leave. This sort of mass departure has to mean a systemic problem with IC. I certainly hope Dr. Gallagher will return to practice in, or close to, Des Moines, so I can return to him for treatment.

He always listens to my concerns. Takes in to account any 2nd opinions I've received; like from doctors from Iowa City. Genuinely cares for his patient's health.

Dr. Gallagher is an excellent urologist, who is very easy to communicate. Until recently, he had been my urologist through the Iowa Clinic. I do not know of circumstances, but his departure is a severe blow to my confidence in Iowa Clinic. I hope that Dr. Gallagher will remain in practice in central Iowa, since I would hope my Medicare and Wellmark health coverage would allow me to continue to seek him for my urology care.

Been seeing Dr Gallagher since 2008....had robotic prostate surgery on Sept. 05 2018 Dr Gallagher has been nothing but professional in his treatment and communication with me every step of the way....I would recommend him highly

Got pregnant weekend after being cleared. Ended up with two vasectomies and have been in constant pain for past two years.
