Dr. Brian John Goentzel, MD

Dr. Goentzel has been great for me. I have had several successful epidural injections from him to help control back pain from ruptured disks. He is friendly and fast. I would recommend.

For a long time, i had been having severe pain. I had gone through 2 spinal surgeries. I was put in a wheelchair for over a year because I kept falling , my legs would give way. I met Dr Goentzel for an examination. He told me what was wrong, and suggested injections in my spine. Only had two they was not helping. He then told me I would more than likely have to have another surgery. There was so much wrong with my spine. Pinched nerves in several places, bulge in more than one disc. He then said lets try one more thing. It was a stimulator. Thank you Dr. Goentzel, I went from having severe pain to having no pain.

Went to see Dr. Goentzel. I was wanting injections in both knees. I have had them before , plus x-rays with a diagnosis of arthritis. He did not want to do them. Was said I was to young to have injections. I was 55 at the time. I was able to get him to x-ray one knee, then was sent home with a revisit scheduled in four months. When I returned in four months I was seen by someone besides the Doctor. Was informed that they would do injections if I had a X-ray to look at. Also that Dr Goentzel receives knee injections all the time. Really. Will he’s younger than I am. Once I told them a X-ray was taken a few months back they were looked at and I FINALLY received a injection in one knee. Today I visited a different orthopedic doctor. It’s been less than a year since I’d been seen by Dr. Goentzel. Both knees were x-rayed. Was told my knees are in horrible shape, they were gone. That I need both replaced. Injections were given. I’m so disappointed with the lack of care and laziness from Dr … Goentzel. I have been walking around with a cane in pain. It has been less than a year since I’ve been seen. No way my knees changed for the worse in that short of time. You are definitely better off finding a more caring Doctor.

I have not been to see Dr G in quite awhile but I'm starting to hurt again so I certainly will call back & make another appointment. He really helped me before

After reading the bad review on Dr. Goentzel I just couldn’t believe they were speaking about the same man who helped me to have a better quality of life. I messed up my spine pretty bad in a MVA and thought I’d have to live with this pain forever. Dr. Goentzel took the time to listen to my concerns as well as explain the procedures and what would benefit me most. He is a great doctor with a kind heart and I hope his other patients get to experience this as well. Thank you for making my pain go from a 10 to a 0!!! Forever grateful!

Dr Goentzel knew exactly how to treat my case and his staff is excellent.

I found the doctor to be very profesional. He explained everything that would be happening. Unlike the other persons rating for him, i found him quite helpful, he does care about his patience. when your good, your good. Boo to the person, that wrote him a bad review. If you was unhappy with him, then why did you go back a 2nd and yet 3rd time. What is wrong with this picture. Like i said he is an excellent doctor.

The first time I met Dr. Brian Goentzel I thought he had a nasty attitude. He didn’t seem to show much interest in my pain. I took it as he was having a bad Day. The second time I saw him I had a medial branch block on my neck, so I didn’t get to really see his bed side manners. The third time I met with him he was once again very mean, rude, unsympathetic, a bad listener, judgemental, and showed no empathy. I told him in that visit I did not like his demeanor nor his attitude and that I would not be coming back to see him. I had a Supervisor call me in regards to me cancelling any more treatments from him. She stated he would be written up for this behavior. Now I saw my PCP last Week and he told me that this Doctor wrote nasty things in my file that looked scripted. My PCP knows me and he even took this to his Meeting to show his Colleague’s; of course with out showing my identity. They all agreed this seemed to be scripted. I will be requesting my Medical Records from Dr. Goentzel’s… Office. I will seek an Attormey, contact the News, and post on Social Media to all I can; so these poor individuals suffering In pain never have to be treated like this or experience what I went through.
