Dr. Brian D. Golden, MD

Avoid this dangerous doctor at all costs, PARTICULARLY if you are a woman, a young woman and/or chronically ill! Dr. Golden was not only dismissive to me, but openly rude to the point of offense. I had been sick for over five years including a documented hospitalization and he told me I didn't have any medical illness except "idiopathic ulcers". (?) Suppose I was making it all up for kicks. He also ordered the WRONG genetic test, like a test on the wrong gene. I would have never found out except my next doctor told me. Then, his office lied about it and ghosted me. Finally, despite being a so-called Behcet's specialist, he missed my diagnosis which has come several years later and with absolutely no thanks to this sham of a doctor. He absolutely should not be considered a Behcet's specialist and I wonder how many other patients he has misdiagnosed and prevented from receiving adequate care. Believe all the other reviews saying how bad he is. You think, "so many bad reviews? It can't… really be that bad, right?" Yeah, yeah it is. I would advise you to see literally anyone else. It doesn't matter if he's the only one available, you're better off waiting a year or traveling for care.

A TOTAL waste of time. Arrogant, dismissive, incapable of listening. Careless mechanic. Did not answer my questions.

I had a bad experience with Dr. Golden. He failed to diagnose me with a condition that was very obvious--I had all the symptoms--but he chose instead to dismiss my concerns and send me off with nothing but a very expensive bill. Because of Dr. Golden's bad practice, I suffered needlessly, and was humiliated by his arrogant nature in the process.

My husband and I travelled over 5 hours to get to this quack. He sent suggests to my PCP, then sent me on my way. Charge our insurance a huge amount and didn’t even touch me!!

Left feeling unheard. I agree with the other negative posts: paid more attention to his computer, also said I don’t have lupus- no fluid around heart. Only Looked at old bloodwork which I brought in, didn’t suggest getting new BW. I didn’t even finish telling him my symptoms. After exam, he was abruptly leaving the room, as I was trying to ask questions. He just left. HUH ?

I agree with some posts below. He seems very narrow minded and concerned what other doctors say and doesn't do a thorough exam and is not very good in making diagnosis or your history. Also loves his computer.

You really can't find a better doctor than Dr. Golden !

the worst doctor ever. I went to get further blood tests for lyme disease and auto immune positive on the blood tests. He refused to do blood tests. Charged me the 500.00 for the office visit to tell me that I didn't have arthritis. I could have told him that. I didn't go in there to have my joints squeezed, I went in there for blood tests and he refused to give them to me. I eneded up having to go into the office and demanding blood tests. He never called me back to discuss results and I am still waiting on them to be mailed me. A man with a g-d complex, steer clear of him if you can and find a better doctor.

Doesn't listen. Says things that defy common sense and appropriate basic medical judgement. IE: you don't have lupus unless you have fluid around your heart or you are in renal failure. Bases his opinion on year old lab work (done when feeling well) that was being watched every 3 months by another doctor and doesn't see the need to have more labs done. But did some as a "favor" - result = 5 x normal value. Says your your hands are not swollen when visually they obviously are and x ray confirm--- however he would like to inject that swollen joint in your hand w a little cortisone.??? My opinion is the same as another poster - must make money from the injections. Just so odd / gross. This doctor is not your answer if you are looking for appropriate medical care - look for someone else as I am.
