Dr. Brian Anthony Hahn, MD

Went to NW Hospital ER because of nose bleed that would not stop - admitted to ER around 6am/6:30am. Informed Dr Hahn that I had a nose bleed episode 10 years ago that required cauterization and hospitalization - at that time I was on daily warfarin therapy, now on rivaroxaban but only when traveling. I had not traveled in several weeks. He first talked about packing, disappeared for a while, came back and told me that he would discharge me with a nose clip. I reiterated that most likely I would start bleeding again, to which he responded that I could then come back to the ER (and pay the $200 co-pay again). I insisted on getting my nose packed which he grudgingly did after I had disclosed I was a health professional as well on faculty at the University of Arizona. It was obvious that he just wanted to go home after doing a night shift in the hospital. His disinterested bedside manner was an added negative.
