Dr. Brian Patrick Higgins, MD

I saw this doctor for the first time. He was nice but could tell he was all about the ??. Swabbed me for everything!! I got worse and tried calling him, spoke to nurse who said that she’d talk to Dr. Higgins. Finally heard back “4 days later” that I would have to come back in...wanted more ?? and couldn’t call me in an antibiotic to fight the infection which he didn’t, and should have, prescribed initially!!! Paid him $250 on initial visit and no antibiotic for infection!!! Never going back!!!!!!!

He is pretty smart.a little arrogant..harmless and tolerable��

Dr. Higgins is a very caring and competent provider.

Misdiagnosed me and that led to emergency surgery at the Baton Rouge General. He did not apologize for it, and when I complained weeks later, he told me to look for another doctor. He almost cost me my life.

This Dr was horrible. I came to establish care and he wouldn't even fill any of my prescriptions. I get disability and have been on the same meds for 7 years and he said I didn't need to take half of them and he would not be my Dr! He told me to find somebody else! Are you kidding me!? I will definitely tell everyone I know to steer clear of this office. No compassion, no bedside manner and very very rude.

The only problem I have had is talking to whomever it is answering the phone.Very rude,not friendly at all.Someone else with a better personality should answer the phone.I work in a medical office and the first impression is the front desk. You should find someone else.Put her in the back where she does not have to talk to people.

I have COPD and on Advair to help me breath.I was out of town when I ran out. I could not breath and was getting scared. Called Dr higgins office to get refill sent to pharmacy near me.He wouldnt without me coming in for visit, Im 300 miles away and cant.Its not like my condition will ever go away ,so why couldnt he refill a med I will be on the rest of my life? Im changing to a doctor that will be there for me.PS. Higgins was my dr. for 6 years.

Very caring manner. Spent a fair amount of time with me to make me comfortable and relaxed due to a blood pressure problem. I was away from home and was so lucky to find this doctor. Wish he was near to my home.
