Dr. Brian Christopher Howse, MD

I would highly recommend Dr. Howse himself as a physician and his nurse is also good; however, his office staff always seem rushed and I have often known them to make mistakes while trying to do several things at once -- for instance, in giving the wrong office address or phone number for referrals, failing to call in medication refills, or once in not actually sending patient information to the office where he was referred. Dr. Howse always says to call if there are any further questions or problems, but it is very difficult to get in touch with anyone at the office due to limited phone hours nor can you connect with a nurse or get a call back if you leave a message about medical questions. I did in fact one time develop hives from a new medication around noon on a Friday and because I could not get in touch with Dr. Howse's office I had to go to a 24-hour clinic for care. I have never known this office to do any follow-up after visits.

I have been a patient of Dr. house since he started his practice at Southport Family Practice. There are not enough words of praise I can say about him. I am living in Michigan at the present time and still drive to Indianapolis for my appointments. Dr. House always has time to talk with about my health issues and I never feel rushed. In one word AWESOME

I was required to change Doctors when my insurance changed. I had been with my previous Doctor for over 15 years and within the first 3 months with Dr, Howse I was diagnosed with prostrate cancer and was referred to a great urologist who was able to perform robotic surgery and I have been cancer free for the past 6 years. Thanks Dr Howse!

Dr. Howse is the most kind understanding doctor i have ever had. I would recomend him to anyone!!!! A+

I just love Dr. Howse. My husband and kids see him as well and we couldn't be happier. I have had a lot of medical problems in the last few years and he was the only doctor (I had seen specialists) who stood by me until we figured out what was wrong. He always takes him time. We have referred several people to him who are all happy with him as well.

We've been with Dr Howse for about six years and have referred many friends and family, as well. He's thorough and complete. You can tell he actually cares about his patients. He also cares about his staff; don't think you can abuse them and get away with it. I saw a patient try to do this once and the good doctor let him have it when he got into the exam room--I could hear from the next room over. Finally, my husband is overweight and one of the things I like most about Dr Howse is he doesn't judge or assume that everything is because of the weight. You know you can actually be overweight and have a cold that has nothing to do with it.
