Dr. Brian Thomas Jones, MD

This surgeon botched my family member's elective gallbladder removal to the point where life was endangered due to infection at the surgical site. This outcome is basically unheard of for such a routine surgery. The problem is that the doctor took the possibility of serious complication personally, and resisted the assistance of infectious disease experts (who were great). The outcome was OK ultimately, but it was in spite of this doctor's skill level and post-surgical behavior.

After seeing multiple doctors with my many symptoms and two emergency room visits, Dr. Jones made the correct diagnosis. He made this diagnosis even though computers were down at the hospital. I had an infected gallbladder and surgery performed. I would recommend him to anyone.

I felt absolutely great immediately after my surgery.

I could not recommend Dr. Jones. He unfortuately does not consider the patients needs or understanding of their own body. In addition, he did not see me awake after surgery and it took more than 24 hours and many phone calls before I could find out what exactly was done.

Dr. Jones had to perform an unexpected appendectomy on my son. He visited my son in his assigned room to explain the surgery and let him know it would be performed as soon as an OR was available. After surgery he took the time to explain what he did, the details of the incisions, what to expect, and the recovery process. He was extremely forthcoming with information we would not have thought to ask, and answered all of our questions. I would request him if I needed my own surgery.

This was an emergency surgery for my 11 year old son. He made a scary situation the best it could possibly be. He explained everything very well and made myself and my son feel at ease.

Glad you were available for me.....Thank you...

Poor bedside manners. Not a very good listener.
