Brian J. Kaplan, MD

Seems to be highly competent except I was referred to him For abdominal pain and he did nothing. No meds. ER visit and hospital for pain, with clear cut cause and answer but he did nothing. I’ve been bedbound since, begging general surgeons to help and it’s not a good look. Not sure this is his failt but he has a lovely staff except for the nurse. He could have been proactive instead of ducking me. Not the correct Dr or surgeon or whatever.

Dr Kaplan was lovely although unwilling to help. His np… not. Making a physical issue that required multiple hospitalizations about her was beyond my understanding. She is a blight on the office.

He saved my life!

Dr. Kaplan is wonderful. I have been with him for over 10 year. The first time I had breast cancer he has always made me feel safe, comfortable and free of worry. He is very smart and I trust him. He saved my life twice. Dr. Kaplan is number one in my book. Thank you! Gardenia Washington

May be knowledgeable but bedside manner was horrible. No compassion and was very quick with answers that did not inform us properly. Should have had a lot more to offer after a 10 hour surgery!!

My experience with Dr. Kaplan has been amazing. He knows what he is doing, he is straight forward and truly is concerned about my well being. His nursing support staff is just as informative and professional. I am glad to have him as my physician.

Great doctor who cares about his patients

He MAY be a excellent doctor but, I didn't feel fully informed after talking to him.. Has a flip attitude and did not make me feel confident in his abilities. Overall, I would like a second opinion.

I was very pleased with the care I received from Dr. Kaplan. He was patient with my list of questions and treated me with respect and concern. During one of his hospital visits, my family/children were visiting me and he was very kind to my children and interacted with them in a positive way. Dr. Kaplan called me at home several times after I was released from the hospital to check on my progress. I had to be readmitted to the hospital a week after my colon surgery (not related to this surgery) however he and his team met me at the ER to have me admitted and make sure that I was taken care of.
