Dr. Brian Charles Katz, MD

Brian Katz projects friendliness but it is insincere. If you ask him any questions or challenge him in any way, the mask quickly drops and he is revealed for the arrogant, nasty, disrepectful person he truly is. It is sad that people who have no empathy are drawn to medicine for money and power. If you’re in a helping profession, dealing with people in pain, you should at least be polite and courteous, whereas Brian Katz is totally disrespectful.

Dr. Katz is a very nice and personable doctor. He has some good ideas if you suffer from more common ailments like IBS or constipation only. He’s very into diets which are helpful but not a true cure. But if you suffer from Gastritis, Krohn’s or a more chronic problem, I wouldn’t continue with him because I don’t know if he can medically adddress those issues effectively. You often need some amount of medication and can’t just rely on diets only. He’s good at returning calls and he’s not a pill pusher but it’s not all about diets when it comes to someone like me with chronic Gastritis. Studies show that diet changes don’t often work effectively long term for patients like me. Just use your best judgement. If he has a good idea, follow it, but if it’s not helping after a week or so, you should re-evaluate your situation.and care.

I cannot believe the reviews here. I had an excellent visit with Dr. Katz. I had severe pain and he found room in his day to meet with me. He was pleasant and funny with all of his patients today. I would definitely recommend him.

I went to him after being in the hospital and found him to be brief in the office. I got a colonoscopy shortly after and feel I was correctly diagnosed with crohns. He stressed to me that if I was not comfortable with the treatment plan options I had worked, which he clearly explained. That I should get a second opinion. I'm going to get a second opinion but I would not rule him out. You have to kind of ask the right questions to get the right answers with him.

After waiting for this doctor who was referred to us by our PCP, it was with complete arrogance, and inhumane bedside manner that we said that we decided to move along and find a doctor who shows some compassion. I mean, the guy literally stopped talking to us to answer a cell phone call from his young child, then turns to us and says, "now where was I, I always must answer my cell phone when it's my kid." Really, doc...goodbye to you. After reading your patient reviews and seeing first hand what a pompous jerk he is, we will find another specialist. Ciao, Dr. Katz...go destroy another family with your immoral ethics.

After reading these horrible stories, my heart goes out to these patients and families. This man needs to be stopped...let the ethics board know...and make sure you spread the word to go elsewhere! What a pompous, self-righteous, non-compassionate soul. He needs to re-read the Physician's Creed and remember what goes around comes around. Peace be with you all.

I would not recommend Dr. Katz. I was having stomach issues for several months before I scheduled an appointment. I didn't wait long to see him, but I felt very rushed. He didn't listen to all of my symptoms and I was surprised he didn't want to me to go for any tests (I.e. stool sample, blood tests). He gave me a list of foods to avoid and a list of foods that are ok to eat. I scheduled a follow up appointment. When I arrived at the office, I was told after half an hour of waiting I needed to reschedule. So I did. I came in for the next appointment. They said they couldn't find my name and I didn't have an appointment. They rescheduled me yet again. I call to check the time and again, they couldn't find my name. I found a new doctor.

I agree with them.. If there was a lower rating possible I would give to this arrugant low life thief. .He makes his living by defrauding insurance compaiens. I have reported his alleged thievery to Medicare. Case is pendng. All he cares about is money. and as he readily admits .putting his sons through college.. Read what the other reviewer say about his medical ability. Over 90% are negative. I concur. This man has no ethics,, is morally corrupt, and medically challanged, He could be dangerous to your health , and welfare..

i would definitely recommend this doctor.i found him to be knowledgeable, attentive, and engaged. all persons with whom i had contact(affiliated with this doctor) were helpful and professional.
