Dr. Brian Kap-Soo Kim, MD

After Dr Kim said my anemia was minimal and I needed to learn to live with it, my primary spent 2 years looking for what was wrong with me to come full circle back to anemia and Dr Kim. After 2 YEARS of being bedridden, tests for every possible illness/condition by my primary, a bone marrow was performed-- followed by 2 infusions because I had NO iron in my bones. 2 years of thinking I was dying because Dr Kim said to learn to live with it. Dr Kim does not listen, minimalizes and for whatever reason, does not seem to care about treatment or recovery. I have changed doctors and new doc is actually going to investigate what is causing the on-going anemia and find a treatment that will help me feel better.

Dr. Kim is an excellent doctor who is very caring and personable. I cannot understand the negative ratings. Dr. Kim was quick to order a PET scan--before we even saw him--and let us know the results on the weekend! How many doctors do that?! He has calmed our fears and reassured us that the cancer is treatable. I am comfortable that my husband is in good hands!

Dr Brian Kim, I found his bed side manner to be appalling. They way he was talking to my family regarding my cancer and my stay in the hospital was unacceptable. He was talk about me like I wasn't there. I was scheduled the meeting. His tone of voice was very disreprespectful when he was talking about me. I felt very embarrassed. My family was struggling with the news that I was terminal and was going to die in the next 3 months. I couldn't stand it another minute. I asked him to leave and never come back. He was fired on the spot. How dare he talk to my family like that. They were highly stressed. I could not let this happen again.
