Dr. Brian B Kimmel

Had my first visit today with Dr. Kimmel as my new PCP. I'm surprised to read soo many negative reviews. He was very nice and took the time to listen to everything I was there for and what my goals & needs are. The staff wasn't the friendliest but they also had a NP call out at the last minute so had to suddenly cancel appts. I did hear Dr. Kimmel offer to stay late to take any patients that wanted to see the NP who called out today vs rescheduling for a future appt. which I personally thought was very professional & caring of him to offer to do. The way people say he's so selfish I wouldn't expect a selfish man to offer such services. Instead I'd expect to hear him say to continue canceling & rescheduling the appts. He didn't do that because he cares about the patients. I'm very happy with how my first appointment went and how he explained everything to me and we discussed what to do next. Just hoping I don't have to wait 2 months for my next appointment as I did for this appointment… being a new patient. Thank you for welcoming me to the office.

Self centered, unprofessional, childish, rude, puts himself before patients. If you want a doctor that you need to reach at any time during what you perceive is an emergency (legitimate or not) this is not the guy. Have an emergency on a weekend? Don’t even bother. Have an emergency on a Sunday? Expect an unprofessional, rude, and childish call filled with colorful language because guess what? He and how he is feeling comes first, not you. In person in the office, if you’re lucky enough to even land a timely appointment with him, he’s a good guy, good doctor, and very professional. His childish and rude approach to emergency calls is a real turn off and that’s unfortunate. I guess he doesn’t understand it’s part of the job or maybe it’s his age or he lost the passion for what he does I’m not sure. When you do receive your angry phone call from him, expect him to lecture you about the value of his time and expect that conversation to last about as long, if not more, than it would take… for him to just suck it up and write a prescription or give a diagnosis. He will also tell you if he isn’t feeling well, and how your phone call made it worse and throw in a little cough to make you feel guilty about calling while your concerned simultaneously concerned about your own health or your child’s health. He really is a good doctor, but so is Dr. Layton who practices out of the same office so you have options and I know who my kids and I will be seeing going forward. It appears Dr. Kimmel puts himself before patients especially when they really need him or that he lost whatever spark or passion for his practice and if that’s the case maybe it’s time to just retire. Just to be clear - in the office during normal hours if you’re lucky enough to see him in a timely manner he is an excellent doctor and great guy. Anything outside of that like emergency calls forget it he’s a totally different person and after hearing the way he complained to me about having to deal with my first emergency call in the 14 years my children have been seeing him, he’s probably happy that I’m advertising that when it comes to emergencies and on-call situations he’s terrible because it will result in less phone calls for him to deal with. Before I wrote this review I was thinking maybe I just caught him on a bad day but after reading many similar reviews and complaints about the way he treats people during emergency calls I’ve come to the conclusion that unfortunately that’s just the way he is. Hopefully he eventually reads all of this feedback and turns it around but if not what a shame.

Should not be practicing medicine.

Dr. Kimmel seems to uninterested in his patients' feedback. He seems to be wholly disinterested in the health of his patients.

This So Called Dr. Is A Disaster!!!

This Dr. is not only stuck on himself, his bedside manner is attrcocious. He seems to think he is more then he is. He's a DO, not even an MD. Try to get answers from him is like pulling hens teeth.

THE STAFF IS SO MUCH BETTER, THEY HAVE A NEW NURSE PRACTICIONER WHO IS AWESOME, RETURNS YOUR CALLS, CALLS YOU WHEN YOUR LABS AND REPORTS COME IN I LOVE GOING TO THIS DOCTORS OFFICE AND SEEING HER AND DR. KIMMEL AS MY PHYSICIANS. I ALSO TAKE MY CHILD THERE WHO HAS NOTHING BUT GREAT CARE WHEN WE ARE THERE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

The staff is rude. Hard to make an appointment. It is easier for them to say no then try and help you. Doctor does not return calls or does not get the messages.He is caring but ignores staff issues and their management. Thier answer is just go the ER if you can not get the appointment today.

This doctor took care of my mother for years. She always had nice things to say about him. He visited her everyday in the hospital and was very sweet to her. Excellent bedside manner unlike her other doctors who whould ask her questions and then interupt her answers then hurry out of her room. He cares.

This doctor is a quack!!! He has a very poor bedside manner and his staff is as rude as they come!! They act as if it is an effort to help you with any questions you may have. Dr. Kimmel actually laughed when I asked him medical questions about my husband. He made me feel like I was asking stupid questions regarding my husbands care. I wouldn't recommend him for your worst enemy!! Find another PCP, he isn't good enough to take out the garbage from his practice!!!!
