Dr. Brian Maltbie Kinney, MD

Dr. Brian Kinney and his team are phenomenal. I recently received the treatment Thermirase, to treat my 11’s (glabella area), along with my forehead ‘rows’. During my initial consultation time with Dr. Kinney, it was very clear to see that he was exceptionally intelligent, innovative and has incredible attention to detail. This combination makes Dr. Kinney especially talented. I had great confidence in his care. So much so, that I caught a flight all the way from Texas, where I reside, in order to go strictly to him for my cosmetic treatment. From the very beginning, Dr. Kinney took great care to explain the procedure and what was to be expected during the process as well as during recovery. He was very caring during the entire process and really took his time with me. The procedure itself was amazing! The actual procedure usually takes about 30 minutes once the actual nerve mapping is done. I had a particularly challenging forehead as I had 3 lines of rows to treat, whereas… many people only have one or two. This made for a longer than expected procedure time which came out to be around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Despite the extra time, Dr. Kinney never made me feel like he was rushing or hurrying on to his next appointment. Dr. Kinney has impeccable precision and attention to detail. He took great care in maintaining precision throughout the entire procedure from start to finish. He had stamina and did not tire in the least, even though my anatomy was very challenging. In fact, the procedure didn’t feel as long as it was due to the light and lovely conversation that we had during the actual procedure. I thoroughly enjoyed the company of Dr. Kinney and his assistants, Rio & Griselda. Dr. Kinney makes pain management a priority and checked in frequently to see how I was doing during the process. On a scale of 1 to 10, I had at the most a 2 during the entire procedure. The pain was so minimal that I didn’t even need to take a Tylenol, or any meds at all! The recovery has been very mild with some typical swelling that has been managed with arnica, jade rolling and icing. I have had ZERO pain in the recovery process and I attribute this to Dr. Kinney’s great talent with precision, technique and recovery care. Also, it should be noted that his assistants, Rio and Griselda, are truly wonderful! They make you feel at ease and work on managing any swelling or discomfort. Their post-procedure care is exceptional. I could not be happier with the outcome of Thermirase and my procedure. In terms of future cosmetic treatments, I will be only entrusting my care to Dr. Kinney. He is as amazing as it gets and I recommend him for any cosmetic treatments that require incredible precision and attention to detail.

I have had several procedures with Dr. Kinney and have had wonderful experiences with him and his staff from both the results to the entire experience. The most recent being a Rhinoplasty and I am thrilled with my results. My nose looks amazing! Very natural, refined and exactly what I was hoping for. I was very nervous to undergo this procedure since I had rhinoplasty years ago already. Though I liked my previous nose, I knew that if it was done right, it could be even better. Well, Dr, Kinney heard my wishes and he really delivered. I am extremely happy with my nose and greatful! I have also had two other procedures with him. One was a belly button revision. I had an extremely bad scar around my belly button following liposuction to my abdomen from a previous doctor years ago. My belly button had a large scar across the top and was literally the too small for a qtip to fit in it due to scarring. Now that it has been fixed by Dr. Kinney, I honestly don't know where that scar went… because it was over the top of my belly button and now its gone. And the belly button is back to its original size again as well. He really did an amazing job. The final procedure I had with him was surgical removal of artefill from my lower lip. I had artefill put in my lips over the years, which I liked, but the lower lip was uneven with one area that had hard granules. Dr. Kinney removed these granules and the uneven area. The scar is completely healed and undetectable. The lip looks great! Griselda and Tiffany are also amazing! They have been wonderful with me through each procedure, friendly, professional and make you feel very much at home in their office. I am extremely appreciative of everything Dr, Kinney and his staff have done for me.

Dr. Kinney is the best surgeon on the planet!!! He is the kindest, most polite, professional, and compassionate physician I have ever consulted!!! He spent 4 hours listening, documenting, and examining every detail of my medical condition, upon my initial consult. He then spent 3 hours formulating a surgical strategy, upon my next consult. He took precise measurements, photos, etc.....he is exceptionally detail oriented....more than most physicians. I have heard nothing other than the highest praise for his meticulously astounding surgical skills from his patients, and referring physicians. He is called upon to perform the most complicated surgeries from everywhere around the world. My case is one of them, and Dr. Kinney has been an absolute angel in my life. I know many other patients feel the same way!!! Anyone that knows him.....knows that sloppy is not even remotely his personality...in fact, the exact opposite!!! I truly believe the negative review is not from a real… patient. Everything the individual describes is the exact opposite of Dr. Kinney's disposition. He is truly an amazingly wonderful individual....and an exceptionally gifted surgeon!!! The same wonderful staff he has today...have been with him forever!!! When you go to their office, they treat you like you are family....with the utmost warmth, respect, and graciousness. I propose that the disgruntled individual comes forward and proves their allegations....and if they can't...the review should be removed.

Stay away from this "doc" at all costs. Claims to be so smart because of the schools where he received his degree, but at the end of the day, is a horrible plastic surgeon. Botched rhinoplasty and ruined my youth. If he is reading this, I'd like to think he knows who is writing, but he has probably botched so many people, he probably has no clue. He is lucky I didnt sue him. PS. The other reviews about his temper, etc are true!

I had a number of medical problems including an umbilical hernia and hardened internal stitches and foreign matter from a previous tummy tuck with a different doctor (not that doctor's fault, btw - he retired) I found Dr.Kinney by asking a trusted gastroenterologist who he would send HIS family to if they needed plastic surgery. While I needed to have that corrected, I also decided to get a breast lift. Dr. Kinney not only did a spectacular job on the breast lift, he found a way to correct my other medical problems with the least invasive approach and I am thrilled with all the results. More than that, he was patient, took as much time as I needed to go over every question (I was there three times before I had the surgery). According to the nurses in my aftercare facility, it is unusual to have a doctor call - but he did call to see how I was doing! His kind attitude, extremely competent care and impressive credentials made me feel cared for and cared about. What a wonderful doctor!!… I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone for any procedure! His staff are also caring, kind, responsive and really interested in YOU, the patient. I never waited more than 5 minutes to see him, either. Most important - he did the absolutely BEST work. It is only one month and I am thrilled with the results already!!

I researched Dr. Kinney before I saw him and discovered a well respected, highly competent, experienced doctor. When we met, he put me at ease and I have been very happy under his care.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for Dr. Brian Kinney for his surgical skills, his academic achievement and continuous, ongoing research in the medical field and his enthusiasm to share his knowledge with his colleagues as a lecturer at worldwide seminars. Dr. Brian Kinney is very willing to spend inordinate of time with his patients to explain medical procedures, show pictures of previous similar surgeries, enumerate the options available and finally give his professional opinion as to the best solution or surgical procedure to achieve the best final result.
