Dr. Brian Craig Kitamura, MD

Got hand stitches. I was very hysterical about it when Dr. Kitamura stayed patient with me and comforted me. A very respectful doctor worth giving 5 stars.

30yo female presented with excruciating pain in my right flank. I have a history of kidney infections, but a mildly raised white cell count didn't match up. A ct scan, without contrast, performed when I was howling in pain on the table, showed no kidney stones and a concerning pocket in my lower right lung. This diagnosis, which he plainly said he had no confidence in, was that I had a bit of pneumonia. Here are some heavy antibiotics. Go home and come back if you dont improve. This took them 6 hours. I left the boise er and proceeded to the nampa er. They had me in right away. Another round of blood tests, and a ct scan with contrast showed blood clots in both lungs and a potentially deadly pulmonary embolism in my right lung. Dr kitamura sent me home to die. If I had taken my daughter trick or treating and knocked a clot loose.... I could have died right in front of her. Thankfully I am a stubborn woman and I dont take advice that I dont like.
