Dr. Brian Bon-Jeong Koo, MD

I visited with this doctor and was told he was the best in the practice area of restless legs. Instead of examining me himself, he sent two residents in to do all the exams and q&a. Then he came in, asked me the SAME questions... irritated me a little. This was not the bad part, it was after. I called his office for refills of the prescriptions he put me on. They called in the wrong script 3x! Finally they got that right and didn't put any refills on the script. So in a few weeks I called his office again to get refills. They said they did it, so i believed them. Long and skinny of this was they didn't ever do what they were asked and I was almost left a weekend without my scripts (which would mean no sleep). I had to write to the Patient Advocate to get a response from Dr. Koo. I will NEVER go back to him. Instead I am in the process of locating a neurologist who actually cares and has an office staff that will follow through.

Nice doc, but he sent me for a sleep study and I am unable to get the results for 3 months! I was scheduled for a sleep study and I asked his office staff if I needed another appointment to come back after the study. They told me "Don't worry about it, the sleep study people will schedule it for you". That was a lie. The sleep study people had no idea what I was talking about. When I called his office for an appointment they said the first available was 3 months away. What a joke. So I asked if I could get the results over the phone and they said NO! So #1 the office staff laziness not to schedule me an appointment the first time I requested cost me over a month of wait time. And #2, not giving results over the phone is crazy. I have never heard of such a thing. I was very impressed with him when I met him for the first time in his office. Too bad this is the way they treat patients. So now I will suffer not sleeping for 3 more months until my appointment, when he could… call me and possibly fix the problem in 30 seconds on the phone.
