Dr. Brian Daniel Kurland, MD

I was referred to Dr. Kurland from my primary Doctor. On my first visit to his office the entire staff seamed highly professional and I was with the Doctor within 15 minutes of my scheduled appointment. There, Dr. Kurland reviewed my doctors’ concerns and completed tests. Subsequently he ordered an MRI. On my second Visit, again on time, he reviewed my MRI with me and was VERY informative by explained all options, including side effects, long-term success and follow-up. I had 2 - 100% blockages in my legs, we decided on going with vascular stenting. On the day of the procedure I was welcomed to the office by two smiling faces of Nora and Dora. They put my mind at easy and talked me through the whole procedure. After prepping, Dr. Kurland reviewed all procedures with me and his staff and confirmed all prep was completed. During the procedure Dr. Kurland kept me informed every minute and explained what he was doing and why he was doing it to me and his entire staff. I was highly… impressed with the degree of professionalism of Dr. Kurland and his staff during the procedure. Every instruction was repeated, insuring accuracy! It was like in the TV shows of a learning hospitals operating room. Upon recovery, I had Dora by my side every minute with constant checks by Dr. Kurland. In conclusion, Dr. Kurland orchestrates a professional and instructional operating room with the help of highly qualified and caring health professionals.

Performed vascular surgery on my leg. Excellent result. Was very generous with his time before and after the operation so that I understood the need for the procedure and the result.

The staff is patient and professional and the doctor is the same and very attentive. Great job with my 89 yo father!

Got the best skilled surgeon! Hands down! Great skills and warm bedside manner. Can talk to you straight and respect your feelings. Knows what he is doing in the OR, I can tell you that! Feeling great!

I would never recommend Dr. Brian Kurland. He operated on my carotid artery 3 times in 11 days. My artery blew out after his patch came loose a week later. I called 911, blood everywhere. While in ICU he said I got an infection from contaminated instruments he used in Gulf Coast Hospital. He now recommended replacing the patch with a vein from my leg. His 3rd operation 4 days later resulted in putting me into respiratory failure and intubation for four days. After blood clots in my leg and coumadin and bleeding I refused when he wanted to operate again and went to Shands in Gainesville.

I had 2 types of surgery within 1 year. He is excellent!

I would highley recommend Dr. Kurland to any of my friends who are in need of a Vascular/General Surgeon. He has excellent bedside manners, he's very courteous, and took his time to listen to my problem. His staff is also very proffesional!!!

visited this doctor for the first time and waited 75 minutes for a less than 10 minute consultation. He was a nice doctor although his staff does let others go before you if you are a "regular"....so unprofessional! The 75 minute wait turned me off!
