Dr. Brian Imbao Malte

1st visit , I brought in my test records and diagnosis' for the past years. I was a prior patient of his partner, he said he needed to study my history. 2nd vist 1 month later- he was too tired from working at the hospital last night so he would put me on the "fast Track" and see me in 1 month. 3rd visit, he lost all my records BUT look at this he said, he showed me some video that he claims showed that i had Ending Stage 4 emphysema as his partner diagnosed several years prior , he totally ignored ALL the most recent records from Washington University testing, Cox Hospital of springfield mo. and 3 different Pulmonologists in Springfield mo. Dr. Malte was basing his current diagnosis from what his partner claimed from 5 -6 years prior at which time i was told i had ending Stage 4 Emphysema and i had approximately 1 year left to live with no follow up visits suggested I have NOT ever been diagnosed with Emphysema by 4 other pulmonologists nor has any of the test results showed this… to be a proper diagnosis. When questioned how Dr. Malte and Dr. Martin decided that i had Emphysema with a year to live, EVERY time i was told to find a more reputable Pulmonologist. BTW the results have been consistent with EVERY other test throughout the years by EVERY other Pulmonologist . I have been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, mild COPD and Moderate Pulmonary Hypertension, NOT Emphysema. Through the years i have met many other people with Pulmonary issues and most have a very similar story to tell to mine. BTW even though it has been roughly 2 years now his office has never called me for follow up visits or testing of any kind. My current Pulmonologist tests me regularly as it should be. I would prefer to have all of my medical care done close to home but due to their lack of treatment and proper diagnosis i was forced to seek help elsewhere. i started suffering with CO2 retention after 6 months of my initial illness and treatment and 6 months later became desperate but nobody seemed to realize what was wrong. My wife decided i needed to seek Emergency help elsewhere so we drove to Springfield to seek advice from my Endocrinologist. I seen a PA at my endocrinologists office due to the fact that my wife sounded desperate , We didn't know where else to go, after 5 minute or less the PA told me to go straight to the Emergency Room at Cox South in Springfield Mo. where i was tested and treated for a week and released with a Proper treatment Plan. The worst part is Dr. Malte refused to accept the test results of Washington University/Barnes Jewish in St. Louis and Cox South Hospital in Springfield Mo.

Very professional and knowledgeable in his field. Explained plan and reasoning for any tests. Will definitely recommend him to others.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Malte! He has accurately diagnosed me before even ordering tests! I would highly recommend him for anyone needing a Pulmonologist! Dr. Malte takes time to listen to the patient and exhibits wonderful bedside manner!
