Dr. Brian Franklin Mandell, MD

My PCP referred me to a rheumatologist for chronic pain. I waited 4 months for an appointment and was hopeful that I might get some answers to the pain that has significantly impaired my quality of life for over a year. Dr. Mandell was arrogant, belittling, and down right rude. When he wasn't looking at his phone he was smirking to my face as I described my symptoms. I think he missed the class on compassion and empathy in healthcare.

Was more concerned with his phone than taking any time with me, no test and a few questions later he determined nothing is wrong with me. Waste of time.

Dr. Mandell is the only Doctor who took the time to follow up with me. When my problem was not rheumatology related, he went the extra mile to find the right people to help me try to find a diagnosis. He reached out to me to ask about my progress and when my progress was at a standstill, he took the initiative to get me the help I needed. Dr. Mandell goes above and beyond for his patients and really cares.
