Dr. Marcus is RUDE & Unprofessional!

My kids and I love Dr. Marcus, and all the doctor at healthy kids! When my child stuck pees up his nose, Dr. Marcus not only reassured me that my son would be fine, but he made my son comfortable. I never feel like I am bothering or troubling Dr. Marcus with questions. He is also open and honest with us. I highly recommend Dr. Marcus!

So my 2 kids now (almost 3 and almost 6) have been seen at this practice since the day they were born. Dr Bob was the doctor and I highly only recommend him. However this review is for the doctor that you SHOULD NOT see and that is Dr Marcus. On 10/1 THURSDAY my 3 yr old put a bead in his ear so I as any parent called the after hours line and spoke to an on call female doctor explained to her the situation and she said don't worry office opens at 8 (it was 7:10-15ish at the time) you can either make an appointment or just walk in and we have a couple of things we can use to remove it. Anyways, as any parent in that situation we chose to walk in and told the receptionist of the story/situation and she got us checked in. We get into the room and I asked the girl who is the doctor and she says Dr Marcus (my heart sank) because he is the most unprofessional and inexperienced doctor at the practice. He's clueless about everything and never knows what the heck is wrong with the child, only… makes assumptions and we all know what is said about people making assumptions. Anyways it was an emergency and I am like well he can't be that ignorant to not know how to take it out- I was totally wrong and he is VERY dum. So he comes in and asks, what happened? We explain to him and he's like ok. He takes a look into his Right ear with the bead and then the left and I am like why are you looking at the other ear? And he's like well that looks like WAX to me. What the heck? And I was like seriously? We wouldn't bring our child in if he has wax and he's like ok I'll be right back going to get something- comes back with the wax removal stick!! My husband and I look at each other and I am like what is this? And he's like its the wax removal stick I am going to try using this. And I then again looked at my husband that lets stay calm he's a doctor and knows better- well clearly not. He TORTURES my child for 10 mins trying to remove it and i walked out looking for Dr Bob, find him and ask him to come to rescue. Well like any doctor he's like I have a patient I'll be in shortly. By the time I get back to the room Dr Marcus has walked out and told my husband now it's too far in you need to see an ENT. My husband and I walk out of the practice while I am crying my eyes out because God knows what we have to deal with. Do not take your child to this practice if that is something a specialist can treat because as in our situation they can only make it worse. My child was put to sleep to have the bead removed because of an inexperienced and clueless doctor who knows nothing. It led me to post a review about Dr Marcus on the page of the pediatric groups Facebook page on 10/1. On 10/9 I received a letter from the practice stating they will not be seeing my kids anymore. And I am shocked to see that letter- so called the practice and they said its because of my review I possted. WOW. Now imagine all the doctors that made this decision. They are not open to criticism- and clearly not understanding at their doctor being inexperienced. I would highly recommend never take your child to Dr Marcus. So glad my motherly instinct made me click pictures to prove the wrong instrument was being used on my child. Not sure if I will pursue this legally because it's not worth my time. But negative reviews coming all the way for Dr Marcus and his lack of listening and professionalism.

Very very satisfied with the doctors at this practice. Staff is courteous. Doctors are knowledgeable.

Love Dr Marcus. Takes time to listen and NEVER rushes us out the door. Followed him from a previous practice to Healthy Kids Ped and glad we did.
