Dr. Brian D Marks, DO

I have been under Dr. Marks' care for several years. I never feel rushed during a visit and he actually listens when I explain why I'm there. Recently, although i waited until the last minute, Dr. Marks stayed late on Friday afternoon so that he could see me before the weekend. He diagnosed my condition and prescribed medication. Since his staff had already left for the weekend, he personally made sure the prescription made it to the pharmacy. A member of his staff call me Monday morning to see how I was doing. Dr. Marks clearly cares about his patients.

My impression: Came to Dr. Marks twice. Waiting time w/o explanation from office staff: 38 minutes. The appointment was messed up within the office staff. The office head nurse is incapable of saying I am sorry when she makes substantial mistakes. I received a mail-in a portal and did not know I had a portal. I never got that information! I got confusing emails from J ..ie till THEY understood THEY made a mistake but never admitted to that. Insisted that I chatted with Dr. Marks which is not true since the results came in AFTER seeing him and never talked to him, on top he never mentioned the result from my yearly checkup which was conducted by Optum care nurse within premises and I give her information which he never mentioned. So a yearly check-up cost how much?? And not any comment? WOW. Another strike was when the office J..ie did give me a referral in Scottsdale and I wanted one in Mesa, Tempe which has enough Doctors. SHE does not care!! She is incapable and unwilling… to listen and hiding behind her, as she said 20 years of experience! She even tried to tell me that what I wanted is not covered by my insurance. I phoned my insurance and it is covered! Telling this to the doctor - by phone, he did not listened. He told me you mentioned that 3 times now> (Great and what are you gone do?) Dr.Marks asked me "Do you want me to fire her"? I said NO at that time. Today I regret that answer and that the office staff can do what they want without any consequences. J..ie presides over some beginners in the medical field and has established herself as untouchable - sorry Doc! I hang up on him and gladly get another doctor. So as everybody can see it is an office ruled by J ..ie and the doctor has not a lot of saying! Nevertheless, I liked the Doc but office staff ?? Run!!

Dr Marks has been treating my wife and myself for approx 20 years. He also treats my extended family. He’s very thorough, knowledgeable listens attentively, explains treatment/diagnosis so it’s understandable and is unselfish with the time allotted. Highly recommend.

I only tried to make an appt, as an ex patient I am going on Medicare and need new Dr. I’m 66. I offered to pay Cash so I could get in B-4 end of year. Drs wife who is Office mgr accused me of being Opioid Addict because I offered to pay cash! What! I don’t take Opioids! I never mentioned Drugs! I can’t take Narcotics due to Medical Problem! She refused to let me make an appt! I wouldn’t go there Anyway! Shabby Service! Terrible! Awful place! See other Reviews about JAMIE! Ugly person!

Brian Marks has been our PCP for many years. We rely on his knowledge to direct us to specialists who, so far, have been able to successfully treat our maladies, including bilateral hip replacement, cardiovascular treatment, prostate cancer and non-malignant skin cancer. He always takes time to explain his diagnoses in understandable laymans terms. We were fortunate to have found Dr. Marks when we first moved to Arizona.

Dr. Marks is an exceptional physician who ensures that his patients are active partners for their healthcare needs. Dr. Marks treats his patients as if they are family members, listens, effectively communicates and excels in providing the right solution for his patients. His background in pharmacy adds another dimension in providing superior and better informed healthcare. I would highly recommend Dr. Marks for people that take responsibility for their health and are looking for a physician who, in partnership with them, will provide exceptional healthcare.

I'd been going to this DO for 10 years and finally gave up. I'd been complaining about a variety of issues and nary a test was done. When I had postpartum depression, no follow-up after (what seemed like throwing darts) prescribing meds. I wanted to trust him as I think he is a former pharmasist. I do admit that some of the simpler issues were dealt with or at least explained very well in simple analogies.

I find Dr. Marks to be personable, caring, and thorough. If there is a wait before the appointment, he more than makes up for it by his relaxed, no rush manner when he meets with you. He follows up afterwards. I am thrilled with my relationship with my physician.

I've been a patient of Dr. Marks for about 10 years. He has always been able to diagnosis my symptions and treat me with proper medication. He is caring and very informative. I'm so glad I found him!

Pharmacologist, very drug knowledgable, refers appropriately, spends quality time although waits can vary.
