Incredibly skilled doctor and surgeon. Felt at ease knowing I was in the best hands possible. Excellent bedside manner. Feel blessed he was available to me for very complicated kidney stones.

He remains the best urologist, and doctor, I have had. Highly competent, responsive, level-headed but warm, excellent technical skills. Removed two 8 mm stones that had lodged together in my ureter, and walked me through the whole post-op situation. I have had many stone problems in the past 35 years, and his treatment has been such a change from the poor urologists I have previously known. It seems not a field that invites stellar human beings, but he is one.

Excellent experience - saw him to remove a stone - he removed it - recovered well - absolutely no problems with any of it. Office staff is responsive and easy to get in touch with. Would recommend to others.

I had undergone surgery to remove a kidney stone by another urologist who was supposed to be a kidney stone specialist. The surgery was not successful even after multiple attempts. Dr. Matlaga was able to remove my stone without any difficulties - overall it was as good an experience as having a kidney stone can be.

After very disappointing care from another urologist we (wife & I) were very pleased with Dr. Matlaga's knowledge and patient interactions. He was informative, explained the diagnosis and proposed treatment clearly, was open to questions and performed the needed surgery effectively and timely.
