Excellent care in Emergency Room. Thorough and thoughtful.

Dr. Minsk is such a great doctor. I saw him when I was in the ER and he took my issue so seriously and was really kind. I’m very glad I was his patient when I was there because I’m not sure if other doctors would have been as thorough. He made me feel listened to and made sure I was okay before leaving.

Husband went to ER with severe abdominal pain and nausea. He has a history of bowel obstructions and diverticulitis. After some testing Dr Minsk said he had a bout of diverticulitis gave him an IV antibiotic and rushed him out of the ER. My husband who knows how to advocate for himself tried to tell Dr Minsk that he felt he had atleast a partial obstruction and he would not listen. Ended up back in the ER two days later in emergency surgery for a complete bowel obstruction. Based on his history and symptoms Dr Minsk should have admitted him. Feel his negligence created a horrible situation for my husband. Pray he is not your attening ER Dr if you need emergency services at Newton Wellesley Hispital.

If it was possible to give 0 stars I would. Incredibly brusque and unkind. No bed side manner. His tone was condescending. Lack any empathy about how I was feeling and the fact that that I had been sick for over 3 weeks. Actually told me he wasn’t sure why my PCP sent me to the ER. Completely dismissed a concern I had about my chest X-ray. Because of him I will never go to the ER at NWH again!

He only listened to his resident doctor who may be knowledgeable, more than him. Saw the patient for less than 20 seconds.

Absolutely no bed side manner. Made no effort to treat me like a human being and not A piece of meat. I have a sense there may be something wrong with him psychologically.

r. Minsk was curt , asked the same questions over and over, admitted he had no idea what he was treating , yet prescribed medication anyway, never really listened.

Poor job stitching my mom's hand at the emergency room. Did not wait for the local anaesthetic to kick in before he started the process of cleaning the wound, which had her really grimacing. The stitching was inconsistent, looked like he sewed through some muscle and was not able to keep the line straight, puckered in one place. We'll see how the scar heals. Otherwise, not the best bedside manner, curt and dismissive. Left the room without so much of a "good evening", we had no idea he had finished with us. But the nurse who cleaned up afterwards and dressed the wound was excellent.

Dismissive behavior was uncceptable. Appeared annoyed and in a hurry.Manner disquieting.

The doctor was arrogant and uncaring and the staff was the same-surprised at this people at Newton Wellesley used to be nicer-bedside manner is important, hope to never return there.
