Dr. Brian David Rekus, MD

He was my doctor and my Mom's doctor several years ago. He was an excellent listener and was thorough and caring. Other doctors and medical professionals I have talked to all talk about how good he was/is. I miss him and still say he's my doctor at check in.

Bone infection from my knee into my spine. I almost died. I was in respiratory failure congestive heart failure and acute kidney failure. I still have stage 4 kidney disease. I was a diabetic with 7 stents in my heart. He did no blood work. He wrote it up as mentally unstable, maybe a drug problem. He made me leave the hospital. No thanks to him I did live. He caused a delay by over 2 months by sending records with lies. I was on iv antibiotics for 12 weeks. I was very sick and he failed to do anything to help me. He is also arrogant and said he knew more than the other doctor. It is fine to be confident when you are competent it isn't when you are that wrong. Without the amazing drs at Mercy I would have died. I am still in pain from nerve and bone damage. I will never forget how awful he treated me and how close I was to dying. Do not trust him

If you think you are seriously ill. Go anywhere else or you could die. Prince taught it sounds like when Doves Cry. Many people at WRMC when Rekus was there got hear what sounds like when bone infection is destroying nerves.

Dr Rekus is one of the best Drs. I have been to. I cannot imagine his being rude to anyone without a cause. He is both thorough and kind. We left the stated and miss his excellent care.

His failure to treat what had been diagnosed he lied said the diagnosis was wrong even though tests proved the diagnosis. The delay in treatment of a very serious illness caused me to almost die and left me with kidney damage. If you feel you are really sick go to anyone else but him. He also showed no compassion and was rude.
