I debated leaving a review or not and I decided it would be in the best interest of other women who may unfortunately end up in a similar situation as mine. I had scheduled an explant, which requires $500 to schedule. Over 2 weeks prior to the scheduled explant, I had a serious health event and the elective surgery was taken off the table for an indeterminable time. I reached out to ask if I could be refunded given the situation and they stated it was non refundable. I understand they do this to deter women from flaking or cancelling last minute or who would just like to reschedule to a different date. But there was zero understanding or empathy given to my situation. This office was super attentive and friendly before they took my money, but not one bit after. So here I am with medical bills stacking that I cannot afford and $500 in Dr. Rueben’s pocket when he never did a thing for me. So, just a heads up that if something happens to you beyond your control right after you’ve paid… them the scheduling fee, this doctor is only caring while he’s trying to earn your business- not after.

I hope anyone that is looking to have surgery will read my story: I live in Hawaii and was prepared to travel anywhere to get the right doctor for a total reconstruction of my breasts as the damage was severe and required a special surgeon. After months of research and a dozen consultations I picked Doctor Brian Reuben, and I will be forever grateful that I did. Here is the back story. Over a year ago I had Breast Reduction surgery here in Hawaii. Post-surgery both breasts became infected. This infection persisted for 8 months and resulted in miss shaped breast and massive scaring, my nipples were not symmetrical, and I had very large scars under my breast and around my nipples. Most of the doctors I talked to wanted to do two surgeries and could not address the symmetry, they also just wanted me to have my areolas tattooed. I chose Dr. Ruben because he could cut out the scars and make the Areoles straight and I would have NO scars. He also was able to create symmetry and alignment… of the breasts and place implants, all in one surgery. I have had a lot of surgery’s and I usually have trouble with anesthetic and cannot wake up, and when I do, I am usually sick. Dr. Reuben has his own anesthesiologist, and this is the first time I have woken right up after surgery and felt great. In order to organize all of this from out of town involved lots of communication with Dr. Reuben and his staff. The entire staff are all so amazing, by the time I got to Utah I felt as if I knew some of them as friends. I can’t name them all by name and describe the interactions because all of them were great, and this review would be even longer, but I do want to give a special thanks to Leslie. Doctor Reuben exceeded every expectation I ever had for my breast, they are beautiful, I am 63 years old and these breasts should be on a 20-year-old under ware model. Dr. Reuben and his entire staff are exceptional. I found myself in an unexpected situation when I discovered a lump in my right breast. I already had breast implants, so as part of the attempt to remove the mass I decided to have an augmentation revision. I chose Dr. Reuben based on recommendations from other patients and his reviews. I selected him over three other plastic surgeons I have had other procedures from and also from four other surgeons I was referred to by two other doctors. I was so nervous to go through this revision because it was unexpected. Dr. Reuben and his staff (Tiffany, Sherelle, and his anesthesiologist, whose name I can't remember) : ) made me feel very comfortable. Absolutely lovely people! One of the most amazing things about his facility is he performed the surgery in the same location as his office, so you don't have to deal with going to a separate surgical facility making the cost for anesthesia and the facility much less. The night of my surgery Dr.… Reuben called me at home to see how I was doing and gave me his personal number to reach him with any concerns. Sherelle also gave me her cell to reach her at any time with any questions and has emailed me to help me with some insurance issues. Very professional and supportive. I am four weeks post surgery and I have had two follow up appointments already because that is how much they care about your recovery, which has been a breeze. I am so happy I chose Dr. Reuben and very pleased with my results!

From my consultation to one month post-op, I had nothing but an amazing experience! I actually found Dr. Reuben on Realself! He had amazing reviews and absolutely lived up to the standard. I had a wedge Labiaplasty under local anesthesia. Reading other reviews, I was terrified of the needle! I can honestly tell you that I did not even feel a thing! I think I was actually on the surgery table for maybe 30 minutes. His surg tech was so sweet and so nice! All three of us talked the entire procedure. I was beyond comfortable. His surgical coordinator Sherelle was awesome to work with as well. The whole team, really! His front office staff are so nice! I was so pleased with my results. I had huge inner labia. I mean these suckers would fall out of my swim suit :( at my one month post-op my vagina looked perfect. Exactly as I had hoped it would. Dr. Rueben has a gift. He is absolutely in the right career field! I will recommend him to everyone!

Dr. Rueben is an excellent ps. I was extremely comfortable with him. And he did an excellent job on my reduction. Great bedside manner as well! I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Reuben was easy to talk to as well as a great listener. I am so lucky he helped me transform my body into something I love again. Great work with breast lift and augmentation as well as a tummy tuck. Thank you! His staff are the best group of women to work with.
