Dr. Brian Richard Ringhofer

Recently saw Dr Ringhofer due to chronic low magnesium level, my primary sent me to him after 6 months of monitoring it with no increase. I had two appointments with him, all he did was tell me wait and see. He told me to get my own supplements, and just try and see what works dosage and type. He offered no answers on the why or how to resolve the issue. Also had his staff answer 90% of the call/messages I sent so half the time I don't even get to hear his actual opinion. When I reached out to Mercy to report these issues my response was ignored and nobody followed up with me to resolve, reached out to the email they responded to this review and no response.

He talks down to me, he won't answer questions, his ego is huge. I think he's A narcissist (my opinion). I feel like he's not being honest like he's trying to hide something

My visits with Dr. Ringhofer have been good. During the first visit, he asked me to describe the symptoms that had brought me to him and listened carefully. He was very patient in explaining the possible diagnoses, and also explained why he wanted to take a cautious approach to the treatment, based on a series of tests to better evaluate my condition. During the first and later visits, I felt that I could talk to him and get honest feedback. He never makes me feel rushed and is reassuring. When the results of a significant test came in, he called me personally. I am very happy with him and recommend him highly. I had to wait a little while in the office, but then I can't complain because he is good about spending time to answer my questions.

Dr. Ringhofer is a pompous jerk. He never takes time to listen to his patients.
