This team of providers were one of the first specialists who actually listened to my symptoms and tried to "think outside the box," and dd not just guide me to another specialist. Dr Schuler explained things in very understandable terms, and although the symptoms are not cardiology in source, he still gave valuable guidance for next steps to consider

I had a pacemaker implanted by Dr. schuler in 2008. He was able to get me through my pregnancy (pacer was placed while pregnant) and also through my second pregnancy, 4 years later. I trusted him as a physician and felt he looked out for my best interest. My pacemaker was then end of life on the battery and he made a decision that it was best for me to have it removed. He made it seem as if he had extracted pacemaker leads previously - which I later found out by a search online that he had not. The surgery was complicated and instead of him stopping and sending me elsewhere, continued. I ended up getting blood clots in multiple deep veins within my arm, chest and neck. The whole thing was a huge disaster. I was sent to another physician in Philly who ended up messing up even more. Dr. Schuler had said he would research to figure out how to handle my case,which was only after I said I wanted a referral to a vascular surgeon. I ended up at Hopkins, not because of him, but my… family Dr referred me. Turns out I had a rare syndome, which was made worse by wellspan cardiology. I will now have to have yet another surgery this summer to correct all these mistakes. I never received an apology from Dr. Schuler... All this to say - be very wary if he does surgery on you.

Was referred to practice by Primary Doctor. Had many questions, doctor spent only minutes with me, spoke in medical terms I didn't understand and seemed very uncaring and in a huge rush to move on. Horrid bedside manner! Would not bring my dog to him but then again I love my dog too much to do that to him. What a pompous unfeeling schmuck. Left with no better knowledge of my condition. Grade F. Would have liked to give zero stars.

He may be the greatest cardiologist of all time, but it doesn't matter because you won't get to see him. If you do, he'll spend 2 minutes tops with you. May or may not have looked at your chart. Still, say goodbye to $200.
