I fractured my radial bone at the distal end (broke my wrist) and despite being highly independent, obviously needed expert assistance in realigning the bones. Everyone, including the paramedic, Dr. Shear, Jim and the many staff members respected my request to remain medicine free as long as possible. They worked diligently with me, carefully utilizing the finger trap, and working the bones through painful but careful manual manipulation until we were close but not quite perfect. I finally gave the go ahead for a limited local anesthetic and Dr. Shear continued working the bones until they were close enough that according to the orthopedic surgeon, NO future surgery will be necessary! YAY! I appreciate the positive atmosphere and being included in my treatment decisions just as much as I appreciate the stellar final results. Thank you, Dr. Shear and team!
