Dr. Brian Christopher Short, DDS

Dr. Brian C. Short is from Jackson, Tennessee and attended college at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. He attended dental school at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis, Tennessee, where he graduated with honors. While in dental school, Dr. Brian served as class vice-president, class representative for the student government association, and intramural director. He received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Certificate of Merit, the Dentsply Merit Award for excellence in removable prosthodontics, and was inducted into the IMHOTEP Leadership Society. He was a St. Jude Target House volunteer, member of the Baptist Student Union and Christian Medical Dental Association. He also performed dental screenings at the Special Olympics.
After dental school, Dr. Brian completed an additional two year residency program to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Tennessee. During his residency, he received extensive clinical, hospital and …emergency training. He performed pediatric dental surgery at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and Crittendon Regional Hospital. He also treated children from all over the world at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Dr. Brian is passionate about Pediatric Dentistry and is very active in the dental profession. He has a specialty license to practice Pediatric Dentistry in Tennessee. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Tennessee Dental Association (TDA) and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
When Dr. Brian is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys sports (especially Tennessee football), golf, fishing and exercising. Dr. Brian is happily married to his wife, Haley. Together they enjoy traveling, church, going to the lake and beach and just hanging out with friends and family.
