Dr. Brian David Simpson, MD

Dr. Simpson and his staff were prompt, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. My oral surgery turned out to be a difficult procedure and Dr. Simpson and his assistant were kind, empathetic and professional throughout and followed up to see how I was doing postsurgery. Recommend highly.

A Dentist sent me to Simpson for a consultation of an infected tooth that had to pulled under a 7 tooth bridge. Simpson looked at my mouth, I paid him for the consultation (not the other Dentist), but Simpson refused to tell me anything. His staff told me he said my Dentist should explain everything not him. One month later, 5 phone calls, 6 e-mails , and stopping by his Office, and I was still told nothing (the Dentist also told me nothing). His actions were very unprofessional. But looking at another review, I might be lucky he didn't work on my mouth.

Think very carefully before you put your money down on an implant here. Had a miserable experience here that lasted almost an entire year only to have the implant fail. Original attempt at the implant failed. Was told not enough bone (even though the cone scan looked good). Then had to wait 3 months to heal, then went back for a bone graft, then another 3 months to heal. Then went back to get the implant reinserted, but it wouldn't torque tight enough so another three month wait. Then after all this time when I went back for the final visit the implant failed. No explanation given and no refund offered. Threw thousands of dollars out the window on this and wasted an entire year without a tooth.

I Had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Simpson yesterday for the first time to have a TMJ consultation. I had been having pain in my jaw for a number of months with very little relief and I was referred to dr Simpson by my regular dentist Dr. Michael Rothstein. In my opinion, Dr Simpson could not have given me a more thorough exam or could have explained my condition and possible options any better than he did. He was patient, explanatory, and attentive to all my complaints, and also a very good listener. I felt I had gotten an education about TMJ while I was there. His staff was also very attentive and professional. It was a totally great dental experience and I am sure I will get relief soon. He also accepted my GHI insurance as a NY City teacher, which was an added bonus. But frankly even if he wasnt accepting of GHI, it would be money well spent. Hats off to Dr. Simpson and his staff!

Dr Simpson and his staff provided excellent care in the removal of my daughter's wisdom teeth. He followed up after surgery and saw her a few days later when we had a question (as a parent I greatly appreciated that).

Both a tooth extraction and an implant by Dr. Simpson were totally pain free. He and his staff were highly professional, courteous and caring, even calling afterwards to see how I was doing.
