Dr. Brian Keith Takagi, MD

I love his overall presentation for his care of your needs...And, I trust him.....

I've been to Dr. Takagi twice and was hustled in and out quickly both times. Spent all of 2 minutes with him on both occasions, where he simply suggested I return in 6 months to 'see how things are going'. While I don't have any reason to question his medical knowledge, he seems to be solely focused on the more advanced problems of his elderly patients. He seems to have a lack of concern with correcting less critical problems - suggesting only to 'use more eyes drops' for my chronically irritated eyes with pterygiums that bother me on a daily basis. He also refused to retest me for a new eyeglass prescription, even though I could only read half of the eye chart. I'm taking my business elsewhere and I suggest you do the same.

Took my mother to him for over 10 years. When she was having trouble seeing he said she merely had "aging eyes." I took her to another eye specialist at another local clinic because I wanted a second opinion. Turns out she had stage 5 Glaucoma, and wet macular degeneration.

Been seeing Dr. Takagi for years, and he has always been very good with our family and he is very good at explaining issues. Both of our mothers have had surgery for their eyes and both have had very successful surgeries and see very well even in their 80's.

Been seeing Dr Takagi for years. He listened to patients and socialable few years back. But lately he's been rusing it and didn't want to talk/listen much.
