Dr. Brian S Taylor, MD

Dr. Taylor has been my psychiatrist for going on 5 years. The psychiatrist who treated me before Dr. Taylor didn't take my situation seriously, or cared to listen to or believe what was happening to me. He just believed what he wanted to believe, and over prescribed, and the wrong medications, and too high of doses. Dr. Taylor took on my care when I was in a severe depression, in a whole lot of physical pain and disability, and had been for years without successful treatment. I saw many doctors, including many specialists, trying to get my physical illnesses diagnosed and treated and all, but one, became frustrated with my non-improvement, and just prescribed more and more medications. When finally arriving at the UCLA Medical Center (which is an entirely different experience) the feedback was that they'd never seen so many prescriptions for one person. UCLA wouldn't take on the task of paring down these medications, but Dr. Taylor did. He cares deeply for his clients: I feel… deeply cared for, which had been a rare experience (excepting UCLA Medical Center) His expertise, and continuing research to give guidance for all sorts of situations that his clients face, is admirable. You may find him a wee bit terse in the beginning, but my impression is that's part of his intensity to get to know his clients quickly and thoroughly. Don't let that throw you.

Dr. Taylor is not only the best psychiatrist I have ever seen, he is the best doctor I have ever seen. He is extremely thorough and cares for his patients like no other doctor I've ever seen. I feel like he saved my life. I wish he could be my primary care physician, too!

I have been a patient of Dr. Taylor's for several years now. By far, he is the most thorough psychiatrist who has ever treated me. He's incredibly thorough, takes the time to explain everything, and always makes sure I understand my care. He's kind, compassionate and a gentleman. I would recommend him highly to anyone.

I went through several psychiatrists and Dr Taylor is the only one who really listened, asked me the right questions, and seemed very intelligent. He is amazing at his job.

Dr. Brian Taylor is amazing I went in there on medication already working but we started from zero. My diagnosis was bi polar disorder but it turned out to be Major Depressive Disorder. He cares a lot he takes his time he may come off strong but that's because he knows what he is doing. Psychiatry is a a joke when a psychiatrist just wants to diagnos you and give you abilify for extra cash but that's not him though. He does a great assessment and he graduated from Stanford shows how hard he has worked through his life. Dr. brian taylor thank you so much for caring and currently titrating off lamotrigine so we will see how this all goes.

Dr. Taylor supervised my work on several cases. Although he may seem distant he actually is a very compassionate and helpful doctor. I highly recommend him
