Dr. Brian William Toussaint, MD

My teenage son had a baseball accident that caused some serious eye/vision damage. My son was scared, nervous, and anxious. Dr. Toussaint, used the big medical terms but he explained exactly what they meant. He used eye pictures so my son could understand what happened to him. He was very honest about the reality of the outcome. He knew the accident would change my sons lifestyle and he was compassionate and showed empathy. While Dr Toussaint is knowledgeable, I’d like to think most doctors are. But, a doctor who takes his time with his patients, has the ability to communicate things so that his patients understand, and shows empathy is not something you get from most doctors but you why from Dr Toussaint. ( and his staff are the most compassionate group of people)

He is wonderful !! I can’t say enough about this dr. I had to have surgery and his office fit me in that day. I was nervous about the surgery. He came in the room and made me feel so confident that everything would be just fine. He is an amazing dr. I had not one worry, after he spoke to me. I really wish there were more drs. Like him!!

I saw Dr. Toussaint on an urgent basis at the recommendation of my general ophthalmologist. I spoke with Dr. Toussaint and he arranged to see me very promptly. His evaluation was exceptionally thorough and his analysis clearly reflected his exceptional knowledge and abilities. He was VERY impressive. My problem required urgent hospitalization on a non-ophthalmology service, which he took the trouble to arrange for me. The end result was very good. I've had experience with multiple ophthalmologic subspecialists over the years and would say that Dr. Toussaint is the most impressive. It is a privilege to be able to recommend his services to anyone in need and we're fortunate that he is practicing in Wilmington.

Dr. Toussaint has a very capable and affable staff. Appointments are always well handled. I have never had any problems with either waiting or changing an appointment. Dr. Toussaint is friendly, courteous and very informative.
