not a people person stay far away. if you want be treated like crap then go see him

Completely lacks any empathy as a health care provider. Better suited as a surgeon when patients are unconscious.

from the first phone call I made to make an appointment to my visit with the doctor, it was a very good experience. The receptionist is the nicest and most accomodating person I have ever met in a doctors office. The gentleman that helps with the eyeglasses is very knowledgable and accomodating. The young lady that is Dr.Willard's technician was very professional. The woman who does the billing was also very knowledgeable and helpful when I had questions about my insurance. Dr.Willard is no nonense, thorough and very timely. I had to wait on my first visit because an emergency patient came in, but only about 10 minutes, and the staff was very apologetic and acknowledged my wait. On my return visit, I was taken at the time my appointment was scheduled. I highly recommend this office.

Takes a real interest in patient issues. Staff is excellent.

Ophthalmological services must be provided with compassion, respect for human dignity, and integrity. As an educated individual, it is my responsibility to report abusive and disrespectful behavior or at least attempt to save someone else from having unpleasant experiences. Dr. Willard was very rude to me. It seems to me (I hope I am wrong), he has issues dealing with women and minorities or he is simply RUDE by nature or all of the above. In my case, he deviated from professionally-accepted standards by being aggressive for no reason at all and disrespecting me just because he could; grabbing my head in a forceful manner when putting drops in my eyes (as if he were angry!); also by making comments such as: "you can't explain yourself, is taking you FIVE mins. to tell me this " implying I was wasting his precious time! He forgets he is a healthcare provider and his being paid for his services. He never allowed me to tell me what problems I was having with my eyes. He also said: "This… is not working out... you can see another doctor... if I were the only doctor, then I would see you." My reply: "Thank God there are other doctors." He showed more hostility and basically kicked me out of his office. I tried to stay as calm as possible, after all he was "the doctor" and the person of authority in his field with the power to help me or not (at that moment). I could only say: "Dr. William you are being very aggressive to me and I don't appreciate it." Needles to say "I WON'T EVER GO BACK OR RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR TO ANYONE"

Awesome eye Doc. He comes off a little gruff at first, but thats just him. He spends just enough time with you to get the job thoroughly done. Thats why your not waiting an hour. If you want someone to hold your hand and tell you everythings going to be ok, he's not the doctor for you. If you wear your 2 week contacts for a year and are having problems don't get all butt hurt because he looked at you sideways... your an idiot. own it.

Very good eye dr I have been seeing him for many years. The receptionist and other staff members are great too, however...There is a worker named Luanne who does not have a good bedside manner. And I am considerring going to another eye dr now because of her personality. I have glaucoma and have put my appointments on hold because of her. I have left her raw personality up to God now. If you have had an experience with her as such. Please speak up as I truly believe she does not belong working in this field. I don't like to complain but this girl needs to change her ways.

Great healthcare provider ...

I have the highest respect for Dr. Willard and Perry. They took a lot of time to get my prescription as corrective as possible and thus change my quality of life, whereas other doctors gave up after getting me to 20/35 and 20/40 and claimed I, only 18, would never see better or be able to wear soft contacts. Willard and Perry got me to 20/25 and were patient and answered every question I've had since then. Willard consistently tested me for issues he knew I didn't have (like retinal tears) to ease my fears. Perry let me experiment with probably six different brands and types of lenses over the years. At 25 now and living in a different region, I struggle to find a team half as willing to take the time to help me -- but they still pick up the phone and explain how to get the providers to understand my needs. Unbelievably caring team, highly recommended.
