Below is my review of my experience with this hospital system. THIS physician refused to complete my examination simply because I asked what she was looking for. I asked calmly because I was frightened. She reacted with hostility, claimed that questioning her showed disrespect, publicly humiliated us in front of other patients, and ordered us out of the clinic. The test was never completed. That appalling experience leads directly to this review: I sought emergency care twice for severe abdominal pain. Staff performed only a limited evaluation and then dismissed the pain with an unsupported explanation. I followed their advice, but the pain continued. When I returned for help, they ordered an extremely expensive out-of-pocket test while documenting an insulting assumption about my motives. They also diagnosed a heart rhythm problem that no other physician has since been able to confirm. That questionable diagnosis became another costly obstacle to receiving care because I was told I… needed a specialist evaluation first. During my hospital visits, I was repeatedly left suffering in excruciating pain for hours. This was not merely disappointing care; it was callous, dismissive, and unacceptable. When the severe pain returned in April, I went to another hospital. The difference was staggering. The staff took my symptoms seriously, performed appropriate testing, communicated with one another, and found the actual cause. I am now thriving. That outcome makes the failures of my earlier care even more indefensible. Unless you have absolutely no alternative, avoid this gastroenterology department. Based on my experience, they did not listen, did not investigate thoroughly, and did not provide meaningful help. Instead, they relied on accusations and convenient assumptions while I continued to suffer. Their conduct appeared dismissive, poorly coordinated, and alarmingly lacking in basic compassion. No patient in severe pain should be treated this way. I would not trust this department with my care again, and I strongly urge others to seek treatment elsewhere.
