Dr. Briant Stringham Romney

Without writing a novel I can not fully express the nature of my 2 1/2 year old son's visit. The nutshell is we live in a rural area with one pediatric dentist in the whole state. I had extreme reservations about having him fill the deep cavity in my son's tooth after restraints and sedation were offered as the only options to performing the procedure during a consultation. When we came to Salt Lake City on short notice to stay with family for an extended weekend I called Dr. Romney's office on a hopeful whim that somehow another option could be presented. Not only did Dr. Romney see my son two hours after I called (during his lunch break btw) but he suggested a new, much less invasive, drugless alternative. He was wonderful with my son, let me stay in the room (and even hold my son's hands when he asked me towards the end) and took the time to explain the new procedure and answer my questions. Within an hour we were back in the car and on our way to eat lunch! There are no words… to express how relieved, grateful and impressed I was with the assistant who listened to my plea and squeezed us in for a same day appointment, the friendly receptionist, the simple but very comfortable and clean office (no videos on the ceiling - because they are kind and efficient enough not to need them!) and Dr. Romney's patient, kind but quick and painless manner (my son did not even need to take a pain reliever). I plan on traveling the 9 hours by car to see him again for any dental needs my son has in the future - it's totally worth it!!
