Dr. Bridget Anne Pribbenow, MD

Sorry to disagree with the negative posts, to me Dr Pribbenow is awesome. To reiterate she is General Practitioner in Family Medicine working in a large structured practice. Once in the exam room and through the protocols we can have a literate discussion about symptoms, treatments and latest medical advice. My only disappointment (and that would have been my own ignorance) was that she wasn't part of the care team when I was hospitalized for several days, I could have really used a conversation with a familiar face about my treatments at the time.

I have never had a doctor that was so disrespectful. I do not see how anyone could give this doctor a good review. I am pretty sure the only good reviews are the ones she writes about herself.

Dr. Pribbenow was a very rude doctor and I will be switching doctors. It felt like she had no feelings towards me and was almost yelling at me when I was trying to explain to her about how I was feeling. I was very uncomfortable. Please do not waste your time having her as your doctor.

I've been a happy patient for over 10 years- she truly cares about her patients, listens, is kind and thoughtful (all that and a great doctor!)

If you are looking for someone who is progressive, keep looking. She only believes in Western Medicine. She doesn't listen to your needs in relation to anything dealing with mental health. She will prescribe you something that has the exact same negative effects you are trying to fix. My last appointment, she raised her voice, cut me off, and frankly wouldn't listen. Instead, she made negative assumptions. If you have problems past physical, you do not want to use this person. Absolutely ridiculous.

unfortunately my daughter former doctor booted her for missing 3 appointments despite her knowledge of my daughter new onset of severe depression and suicidal ideation, anxiety, lack of concentration and ADD diagnoses. My daughter expressed concerns about Dr. Pribbenow being overly opinionated , judgmental and lacking empathy and felt that she couldn't be as open with her about things due to her inpartial ways! But being a mother in healthcare and an employee of meriter, I decided that staying with the same doctor that knew her medical background trump her lack of compassion and bedside manner. I should have listen and change doctors along time ago.

I had recent contact with Dr. Bridget A. Pribbenow for a routine physical. I was quite satisfied with her care. She was responsive, extremely knowledgeable and kind. I am very happy to have her as my primary care physician.

The Dr. really listens to what your concerns are and takes time to explain.

Dr Pribbenow is a straight talker and relates as a partner in your health rather than as a magician. I think this may be the reason for the mixed reviews here. Her honesty and her willingness to give me all the facts I needed motivated me to make the lifestyle changes necessary to put me on a better track to good health. She is at the Meriter Monona Clinic now, with an excellent nurse and terrific staff, so promptness and follow up are very good.
