She literally saved my life! last year I had what I called a "spell" only 2 big ones spring I lost all consciousness for 45 minutes in a convenient store and told her about it at a visit. she ordered me a mri to rule out anything brain related, sure enough was a tumor on my frontal lobe and I immediately had to have a resection, it was cancerous but slow growing. when they found the tumor it was huge and needed to come out asap. im thankful for her!! best md ever!! she literally saved my life!!

Brie is an outstanding doctor with exceptional diagnostic skills. She immediately notices details about you that help in diagnosis and treatment and truly cares about your well-being. We feel so lucky and blessed to be in her care.

Absolutely the best doctor I have ever known I have a bunch of Heath probably and she has never give up if she sends me some were and they can't fig it out she will send me some were else till she gets the answers I would never want to trust my health to any body else I love the way she explains things and makes sure you understand what she is saying she goes above and beyond

She explains things in plain direct manner. Most importantly she listens to her patients and always has patient care her first priority.

Dr. Folkner is flexible, open minded and listens to your concerns and then proceeds to address them. She goes the extra mile and is organized in her thinking. I hope she remains in Spruce Pine permanently.

Dr. Folkner has really tried to do what's best for me. I have many problems, and when I came to her, I came with a load, and she handled me with a gentle hand. She sent me to the specialist in which she thought I needed to see, and I am now in the best health I have been in, for many years, although I was in a doctors care for many, many years..... It was just the wrong doctor. I drive an hour and a half to see her, but I feel it is so worth it!!! I feel so blessed to have found such a kind, knowledgeable physician!!!!!
