Dr. Brinda Thimmappa, MD

i had a breast reduction done with thimmapa about 6 years ago. she told me my lumpy mishappen breast would adjust to a normal shape with healing. but years later i still have a giant divot where my n*pple is. she refused to even see me after 6 months.

I am very disappointed with my Botox injections, done by Dr. Thimmappa, because after my first section I still had wrinkles, so I went in for a touch up and Dr. Thimmappa was very unpleasant and made me feel bad and uncomfortable. She kept saying that everything looked fine, and didn't need fixing. Then after she did do the touch up, not only did it not work and I still looked the same, but it left bad bruises on my face. I do not recommend her because I believe she needs more experience with Botox.

I suffered 3rd degree burns over 35% all upper body. My original surgeon the late great Dr. M.N. Tandon not only put me back together but he also educated me in Drs and what questions to ask. I had to have my 4,th neck scaring relief and was referred to Dr. Thimmappa, she immediately earned my respect and five minutes talking to her earned my trust. She has preformed the first stage of the procedure and it appears to be a great success. The second stage is scheduled for after Christmas. Dr. Thimmappa is young, intelligent, gifted and very talented. In my 47 skin graft operations over the past almost 50 years, she is as great ad Dr Tandon was. I had been unhappy with my botox injections by Dr. Thimmappa - I tried to discuss my concerns and that I was unhappy with the results with Dr. Thimmappa. She I looked fine. I went to another plastic surgeon for botox recently and am much happier with the results. I don't think she is as experienced with Botox and I think she should try and listen to her patients and not dismiss their concerns so quickly.

Disappointed with results of breast procedure. Should have seen more before and after pictures of other patients in their early 30's. Also, not the most professional office.

Wonderful ability to communicate exactly what she's doing with you.

I became Dr. Thimmappa's patient in early 2015 when plans for a lumpectomy led to a need for a full mastectomy on the left side. I was post-chemo and ready for next steps; surgery and radiation. The plan was complicated as I needed radiation on the left side and there were trade-offs between radiation then mastectomy/implant vs. mastectomy/implant then radiation. My cancer surgeon recommended Dr. Thimmappa as she had worked with Dr. Thimmappa in previous breast reconstruction surgeries and was very complimentary of Dr. Thimmappa's knowledge and skill. I went into the first consultation informed but in need of good information, analysis, and advice. Dr. Thimmappa was exceptional. She had a patient manner and spent a lot of time with me, explaining the dynamics of all the options, leaving me in the position to make a plan for the next steps. I had a left-side mastectomy with a temporary implant then went on to radiation. The surgery went well and recovery was good. Dr. Thimmappa… did a great job of setting accurate expectations regarding the procedure and the recovery, explaining the need for surgical drains and reduced activity. I had some questions post-surgery and Dr. Thimmappa was accessible and attentive. I really like her "bed-side manner." She was careful in her advice and care and was very good at assessing my surgical and recovery needs. She spent time listening to my questions and offered thoughtful answers. In the final analysis, I ended up having a later mastectomy on the right side with another temporary implant, a later surgery to put in the permanent implants, and a lipo-fill procedure to soften the implants' appearance. Dr. Thimmappa offered great pre-surgery consults for all four procedures and great surgical follow up. At no time in this process was I uninformed or uncomfortable with my choices. And I have grown to really like Dr. Thimmappa and would highly recommend her to any person seeking cosmetic or reconstructive procedures. I feel quite fortunate to have had her as my doctor and I am very pleased with my overall appearance post-reconstruction.

As the adult child of a mother who lives some distance away from me, I was heart broken to hear of the care (or lack there of) my mother received from Dr. Thimmappa. In my mother's first encounter with Dr. T, she was refused the care that her primary surgeon has requested and that she had been receiving from the wound care center for over a year. Dr. T did not listen to my mother (the patient), but changed the treatment plan without any notice, sending my mother home with an open wound. Regardless of the future treatment plan that the doctor had in mind, my mother should have never been sent home without the care she was scheduled to receive. Unacceptable treatment of a patient by any physician. I encourage you to seek treatment else where.

I have had large breasts most of my life, teased a lot in school because of it. Found myself in my 30's with lower back issues. My 18yr old daughter who was suffering with an H cup found herself in the same boat. It was really affecting her self image and she didnt really care about how she looked anymore. Dr. Thimmappa saw us both. Presented all options and completed a bilateral reduction for both of us. This transformation has been AMAZING for both of us. Dr. Thimmappa has been so supportive through this entire process. I am so grateful to her for what she has done. My daughter has a new outlook and is really making the effort to make herself look the way she feels. Words cant express how thankful we BOTH are to her. She has really changed our lives for the better. We are both living more healthy and feeling better because we are not so uncomfortable. COMPLETE WEIGHT HAS BEEN LIFTED OFF :)
