Dr. Brita Axell Bruemmer, MD

I was a patient of Dr Bruemmer when she had her office in Monterey, for over 15 years. She helped me through some extremely difficult times and was one of the most caring and professional doctor I know. Through a series of questions (as a previous person noted), she was able to hone in on what was going on with me, and doesn't resort to medicating for a solution (if possible). I heard she left Monterey because her office went to a "concierge" type service and knowing her it was against her ethics. Big Sur is lucky to have her. Oh, and she would personally call me and check on me-Now that's a doctor.

My spouse and I have been patients of Dr. Bruemmer for over 15 years and she has proven time after time to be the most competent, professional, personable and caring doctor both of us have ever seen. She spends the time needed to determine a diagnosis. I read the negative review on here and had to write this, as I have had nothing but the highest level of care from her. I would recommend her to anyone I meet without hesitation. She has none of the typical ego-doctor stuff that I have encountered with others. She is down to earth and friendly, while being an excellent diagnostician. I can not say enough good things about her.

One of the worst doctors I have seen in 40+ years. Dr. Bruemmer asked an abundant of questions that weren't relevant. She kept saying she was confused with facts presented. Extremeley cold and arrogant. She definately thought that she was the only one educated in the room. Nothing worse than a doctor that assumes and doesn't listen!!! Would give no stars if it was an option.

My wife and I live in Pacific Grove, CA. Dr. Bruemmer has been our family doctor for over two years. She is the best doctor either of us has ever had. She is patient, considerate, knowledgeable, thorough, and a great communicator. She takes the time to really understand your health situation and answer all questions you may have, and explains everything including test results and different medication or other treatment options. She once even took the time to make a special phone call to make sure I understood a lab result. Dr. Bruemmer goes above and beyond her call of duty. I wish the rest of the medical world were more like her.
