Summary
I started my career out of high school as a certified nursing assistant (CNA). I continuously found myself wanting to do more for my residents, so I went to nursing school to become a registered nurse, and then obtained my masters to pursue my goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. I enjoy helping people manage chronic conditions, treating acute conditions and promoting health. I believe holistic patient care is best provided by establishing a trusting relationship with my patients in which all decisions are mutually agreed upon. I have been taught from a young age to go above and beyond for every patient, exceeding their needs and providing quality care. Patient education is very important to me as I feel a patient who understands is better able to care for themselves and live the best life possible. I have a special place in my heart for the geriatric population but enjoy working with patients of all ages. Outside of work, I spend as much time as possible with my family.
