Originally from Frierson, Mathews knew since high school she wanted to work in healthcare. While working for five years in labor and delivery, Mathews realized her passion for women’s health and the need for patient-centered care. She enjoys educating women of all ages and feels privileged to be part of their life journey. Mathews is certified in Nexplanon insertion/removal and trained in IUD insertion/removal.
A board certified women’s health nurse practitioner (National Certification Corporation), Mathews earned a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University of Louisiana College of Nursing.
In her spare time, Mathews enjoys spending time with her …husband, Christian, and their son. She also enjoys traveling.
