Dr. Brittany Rice, MD

I went to see Dr Rice and she requested me to have a boot or an impression for my right foot. Dr Rice told me that this is covered by Medicare. Last Friday a young lady called me and told me she was looking at my file and would call me back right away. She never did.Today is Tuesday. So I called the office and a Gentleman answered the phone and I explained that no one had called me back as promised. He told me not to worry that the procedure is covered 100% by Medicare. A little while ago A lady called me and told me that I had to pay 20% of the cost. She was very impatient and borderline rude. I informed her what had transpired to no avail. She said that she would transfer me to the billing office. And before she transferred me she took a great sigh and said something I did not like to repeat. I spoke with a billing department and was informed that I have to pay 20% of the cost. I think this is a medical indiscretion. Dr Rice is wonderful. But her staff are very impatient and… apparently not very polite or knowledgeable causing more harm than good to a patient in pain. Henceforth I went ahead and canceled my appointment. I hope someone has the opportunity to review this complaint and send me an email back with my concerns. I highly recommend rhe doctor but not most of her staff. Thank you,
