Dr. Browyn Patrice Richards, MD

I am one of those who usually reads reviews but rarely adds one. I was disappointed to read a couple of negative comments about Dr. Richards as I have had only good experience with her. I liker her method of talking about other things in the midst of talking about the symptoms and the issue on hand. It kind of lightens the load on your mind about the ailment. In any case she prescribed the right medication and was spot on with her prognosis. She took me away from the COPD that had been prescribed years ago and replaced it with Asthma medication. Knowing that my medications were expensive she was caring enough to work with me on alternatives and how to minimize expenses. I was also referred to a pulmonologist who confirmed the same. The one thing I was not very happy about was that it took quite a while for the office to follow up on the lab results. She also works with you on tight appointments in the midst of her busy schedule. Try getting an appointment quickly with any… doctor. She is not a surgeon or a specialist. She is a general practitioner and does well as one. Is she the best? May not be. Is she good. Yes she certainly is.

The worst doctor I have I ever encountered, spent more time talking about her sore back than focusing on what I was there for. Dr. Richards only briefly mentioned my condition before spending 30 minutes telling me about how being 23 pounds overweight was going to cause me serious health issues. She never offered any prognosis of my condition, just kept talking over me and complaining about how sore her back was. At one point I even offered to reschedule with another doctor so she could seek treatment for her back. Total waste of my deductible!!!!!!
